I dont know if its because I work in medicine but I thought more people where educated on transpeople. Yes of course 110% it can be related to say early childhood abuse but it also isn't.

It's basic human denancy to call someone by the gender they wish, name they wish. Being kind can go a long way and makes someone's whole day. Just something for you to think about ! 😊

It's pretty worrying if you work in medicine and don't know what a woman is.

I don't want to #bekind. #beingkind has never done women a single favour.
 
I think it’s quite interesting when you look at the elements of including Ella, a trans person in the show

* POST Op - this is significant, the vast majority (in the 90% is it?) of transwomen do not have their genitals removed.

* Presents ultra feminine - most trans men do not pass as well as Ella. (I’m not going into the hyper sexualisation of her presentation, that’s a whole other subject but she doesn’t have a full beard, hairy knuckles and the outline of meat and two veg under her dress like plenty of trans women do).

* Paired her with a man who identifies as Pan, which means he is open is any sex and any gender identification. Did not pair with a straight man because maybe that’s a stretch too far…

Channel 4 have been progressive but it’s still highly sanitised isn’t it.

sorry this is waffly but it’s interesting isn’t it and someone up thread said that Ella does not represent the typical transwoman and they’re totally right. She doesn’t.
