It's a standard insult. If you're on the left politically there are a set of pre-approved opinions you MUST have, and if you don't buy into all of them you are an alt-right, daily mail reading Karen.

It's boring and lazy but that sums up the approach to debate at the moment, there is no nuance or critical thinking applied at all.

It’s also quite ironic considering that for the majority of my life I’ve been called a woke, tofu munching, libtard.

Yeah same. I've been literally out there fighting for womens and LGB rights since before most of the current TRA's were born. I'd love to take them back 30 years and show them what actual homophobia/outright sexism looks like.

Because having your feelings hurt by being called the wrong bleeping name/pronoun ain't it.

Let’s hope for the sake of the individual, no one in your immediate family or close circle of friends comes out as trans because ya’ll would not be supportive in the slightest 😂 and I’d advise them to run for cover and hide, just like Bianca should’ve done the moment she realised JJ wasn’t into her

You just proved my point. Trans people and “gender fluid” people are biologically male or female either way. So pansexual = bisexual, but they just want a bit of extra attention.

Except it's different. I've dated men and women, who were born with that gender. I am not attracted to transsexuals or gender fluid people therefore I am bi, not pan.
 
I don't actually think the gender stuff is off topic because it relates to what is happening on the show. Ella sees herself as a conventional, highly sexually attractive, straight female and she wants a conventional, masculine straight male. But the problem is the men of the type she probably wants are vanishingly unlikely to be attracted to a woman who used to be a man. Or, if they are, it will be in a fetishised sort of way and not as a long term relationship bet. That's what's so sad about the whole thing really, because if she'd simply stayed as the gay man she was before she transitioned, she'd have had plenty of prospects for a loving, long term, sexually healthy relationship. As it is I just don't feel she can be very happy on the inside.
 
That’s my thinking too. People get shouted at for being transphobic for saying they probably wouldn’t be sexually attracted to someone transgender (and many transgender people don’t have any surgery) so there’s very little honest conversation about how lonely a lot of trans people end up.

Dylan Mulvaney, famous transwoman, has not been in any sort of relationship for example and has said no one seems interested.
