Married At First Sight #18

As soon as either Rozz or Thomas get a new partner their friendship will fizzle out. Can you imagine your boyfriend banging on about how amazing their ex is and the best person they've ever met lol. And for Rozz's partner having Thomas sniffing around on about how amazing their girlfriend is. Nah. This is all a moment in time and it'll all die down.

The problem is, as they are likely now realising, that when you go for instant fame in this manner you risk being notorious rather than famous, so people know who you are but you haven't actually profited much from surrendering your anonymity. I think this is why so many Love Island contestants have struggled afterwards, they think it's a golden ticket but actually it finishes and now everyone has an opinion about you but the phone isn't ringing anymore because you are yesterday's news.
yep I’m A celeb is on now and the Traitors will be starting soon so those shows will be what’s getting talked about now. unless they’re really stand out, they’ll be irrelevant in a few months. It’s probs why they’re trying to do a boxing thing between jordan and Luke, they’ll be the undercard on some influencers boxing match

I don't know if it's already been mentioned but I saw on Lukes insta stories that it was him a couple of years ago who was given a false number by someone he was cracking onto in Ibiza. Apparently when he went to Facetime them the following day it turned out that the fake number was actually Maya Jama. By some miracle the whole thing was caught on camera and the clip did the rounds on the news for about two days at the time.

My God these people are desperate to be on telly aren't they.....

I remember hearing about that and seeing a clip. Funny it's Luke. He must have dined out on that for months.

So true!! At least Mark has admitted it!

I think this article is really interesting. I wonder who the couple who were friends but pretended to be more to stay on the show are?

I also think it's interesting that Luke had a viral video. The chances of someone giving him a fake number and it turning out to be Maha Jama and also him actually facetiming rather than just texting like a normal person seems incredibly far fetched to me. I think that guy has been paying a PR company for a long time trying to make himself happen.

I reckon the couple pretending were Laura and Arthur. I don't think Rozz is that good an actress to pull off that dumping Thomas scene!

I read the Mark interview. It struck me as really quite sad that even a 36 year old was naive enough to believe the hype that he was going to be a big Instagram/social media star from going on the show. He seems nice enough and was after love but people are easy to seduce by producers it would seem.

It also proves what a crock of shite the show really is, love/relationships are the least important part of it.
