Going to go blind in a moment me with all the eye rolling!
Yeah kind of is rather ummmm I dunno the term to use to be quite honest, big hoo ha I've been in the whats now Stirling Castles car park when Runrig played there in 2003 for their 30th year as a band (swomped Stirling lol), but kind of behind the stage to the right is the chapel where James VI (later in 1603 succeeded Elizabeth I) was baptised lol.
Was because of James IV marrying Margaret Tudor,

Where I've marked it in red above, is the chapel I think, also is whom gave Ripon in 1604 a proper Royal Charter making it a city not sure what about prior but yeah.... lol (where I was born and live, documented as such since about the 650s AD not of course as old as some other places around the country but.... and before England was unified in think was 927AD), on the condition they make a proper council and have an elected mayor (Hugh Ripley who was the former Wakeman lol, early form of law enforcement).
Was also who the King James Bibles named after, though think was in the century after apparently looking for a name for it so just used his name lol (since was the first English authorised version), also he became the patron of Shakespeares's acting company as well, becoming the Kings Men.
Is twice Runrig had played there (since they split in 2018)
Was the goodbye to their former lead singer before Bruce from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia
Rory (Runrigs bass player and co-founding member) is from Sutherland as well, the most northern part of the mainland of Scotland as well.
I adore Runrig, thank you so much for sharing. If only I could see them again
