Just when it was going so smoothly, back to back meetings, a visit to Conde Nast, an evening hotel event….and then home. Cooing over the dogs on how great the day was and…..Ali slips past having wanked all day in his office and nips to the barfroom to clean up. The gift that keeps on giving….😘

One thing I couldn't process at the time (still can't in a way when watching videos of him actually with them) is Bruce dying, he died in early September, was by about the 15th when his funeral and had a memorial that same night as well, Calum and Rory went to it. Rory and he had chatted about it, he was apparently diagnosed I think about 10 years previously which would have been about Party on the Muir (their 40th year), but had agreed to keep it a secret had toyed with a reunion (probably their 50th) but knew it'd never happen.


Got me listening to their earlier stuff when I'd seen them live like the first Stamping Ground tour (Bruce's 2nd album with them)


Alan Doyle on the memorial bit, wore one of the Stamping Ground tour t shirts (still have mine lol), as Great Big Sea supported them on the tour in 2001

Seriously... I'm 11 minutes in and she's still TALKING ABOUT GETTING READY TO THINK ABOUT PLANNING CHRISTMAS. Haven't gotten to the mood boarding comment... OMG how little does she have to do. Get the old decorations out, drink a bunch of wine putting them up with family and STFU.

Seriously... all of this rambling about the seasons and NEVER any reference to what is most important and what makes these holidays so impactful.... FRIENDS AND FAMILY. I know these people make their money marketing the seasons/holidays but come on. They only talk about decor, outfits, and gifts for themselves and dogs.

Oh yeah she never talks about entertaining her family at Christmas does she? 5 trees, shitney, no presents, no entertaining, just a brie and bacon bagel She should copy Josie and make a proper family day! Sorry silly me, that would involve shopping (paying for food and drink) etc! and having people over, and being a good host!
