Lydia Millen #136 Just a tatty-headed, self-centred bullrider with bad taste.

On their recent #gifted break in the Maldives a sub paid for Lidl and Ali's meal. Do you think.....

  • They should have graciously declined the offer as they can afford to pay themselves

  • They did the right thing by allowing the subscriber a feel good moment

Her face is terrifying here

Riveting content of the Chelsea Flower Show in Ali's flog! A bee hard at work, and a few flower beds, and her travesty stomping around in front of him. She treats him like he's her butler!

Also, most bloggers are a bit more in touch with their audience these days - especially with the current economic crisis - even Claire was wearing a Zara dress the other day! But madam is still swishing around in £3500 dresses.

I really think that her constant purchasing (begging) of dresses/hauls/unboxings is making her KM even less sellable than it is. They really should have written into her contract that she should at least be wearing all items of the collection for the first couple of weeks of the launch. She goes to events (occasionally) and of course does not wear KM - lame excuse about the weather, but has a million other KM outfits to wear! Rocks up to Chelsea Flower Show in Erdem, now she's trying on and no doubt getting Erdem freebies - obviously taken ages for Carrie to beg that one! It needs to stop!

Btw the below thing is the most expensive item in her new collection, please zoom in and look at her green toed trotters bursting out of her Jimmy Choos, and awful blotchy fake tan!

In my opinion, her KM collab very much highlights the divide that Lydia sees between herself and her audience. Lydia sees herself as being all rich and fancy and her subs as paupers, she is only working with KM as it is the easiest way to fund her lifestyle. We all know that Lydia wouldn't be seen dead in the majority of the pieces she puts her name to but she also thinks her subs can't afford anything else, her sycophants don't seem to realise that Lydia hates the majority of her 'designs'.
Lydia wants everyone to buy the KM range so she can continue buying ridiculously ugly and expensive dresses.

So…what was the point in that reel? I presume she wasn’t trying them on for work reasons as if so, surely they’d have the things she liked in her size. Is this a thing she does? Random changing room reels?

Also - that black dress in her stories makes her look much bigger round the middle. How is that even possible?!

In this crazy Ellon Musky world, going on I see brands developing there own robots influencers. And then Lydia will finally be irrelevant. The only thing about this shitty futuristic world I look forward too.
You are absolutely right! All influencers in the future will be robots. They have studied even the tiniest nuances that people like and reproduced them. Fascinating but a bit macabre too...

I (respectfully :) disagree,

I notice people go on her vlog and say this....but it doesn't make sense to me because her job is to buy things and talk about them.......thats what she does for income, and more importantly, that's what an influencer is ....to influence buying, spending, consuming whatever you want to call it.

It's not just an inspo lifestyle vlog so if people don't like that aspect it's kind of confusing to me that they would complain about it, but perhaps they are referring to the amount?

but every time someone says that on Vics channel, or Josie or Lydia, I don't think it's quite fair, you can't ask them to "consume less" or blame them for featuring things aka accumulating things when it's their primary job.

btw Lyd used to mention her donations to that charity that repurposed clothes for interviews, and what she was going to sell, she hasn't talked about that in a long time. It would be nice to know she still does that (though NONE of her dresses now would be appropriate for any office haha)

I do think everyone would appreciate her doing some charity work or featuring more responsible brands, but again, influencers are paid to glamourize consumption.

....and to be very honest I prefer a fashion try on to watching her make a salad 😆😆😆......and be so freakin proud of herself and smug like she deserves a prize or something 🥗😇🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

she seemed a lot less frantic in this vlog btw, the last one she was acting so strange and all over the place

All good points. . . . EXCEPT :
  • Elsie said she was going to be more mindful of her purchases.
  • Classic pieces only.
  • We have not seen her wear any of her clothes more than one save a lemon dress with questionable laundering.
  • Her style has become cottage core house on the prairie cult. None of her viewers share that style.
  • There is Hermes and ONLY Hermes.
  • She has gone back to fast fashion hauls that we all know suck for the environment instead of mid grade to high grade hauls that you can wear more than once before falling apart.
  • Jewelry, underwear, shoes, purses, makeup, skincare, hair care, hair tools, etc - all stuff that is relatable and within our price point (sometimes) that she could haul / shrill.

But all we get is the garden, her being mean to Ali and the dogs, fluttering around in her fairy princess day wear while tipsy on that Angel Kisses or whatever wine she likes.

At least Vic and Teefers have events to go to with their nice outfits. Press trips and lunches, etc. Elsie just stays home and day drinks. I mean more power to her if that is what living the dream is for her. But she built her brand on stuff she is no longer doing. And that’s why some of us are a bit salty because she comes at us like we are giant bags of dicks for asking for content we originally followed her for.

  • As for charity - not sure if she still does that. If you look back on previous threads there is some discussion on her financial situation. She sold her nice bags and anything of real value we saw once and never again. Consensus is she is broke and selling what she can: see Hermes. If she was donating she would shove that so far down our throat it would come our the other end.

Did she say she was giving Sellier a load of her bags to sell, the ones she didn't want, Dior Book tote, Pink Chanel, Chanel lunchbox???? Cos they are not on their website, nor their insta, and they've not promoted them as Lydia's like last time. Also her dirty black Dior trainers and ugly Fendi boots are still for sale on their site!!

Her dior botanical bag is still in her wardrobe it’s not been sold …

i noticed how Ali called the greenhouse “Lydia’s greenhouse”.

i don’t think I’m all honesty the current Lydia is what he signed up for!. I don’t think he likes how this is going. She’s turning into Josie . She even said Ali wouldn’t like the new daylesford plate collection . Yet she still went ahead and bought the candles and the napkins from that very collection with same designs as plates on them!.
