The comment is disgusting but think the parents can safely ignore him as he clearly is disconnected from reality. I don't know if you saw his YouTube video where he had a poster Lucy.

The actual evidence hasn't changed its just the newspapers have changed the angle that they're reporting from. It's gone from "Lucy Letby serial baby killer" to "is Lucy Letby Britain's worst miscarriage of justice case?"

Examining the events at the Countess of Chester Hospital and their implications following the trial, and subsequent convictions, of former neonatal nurse Lucy Letby of murder and attempted murder of babies at the hospital.

The news coverage of this is embarassing clickbait journalism. Why let facts get in the way of hitting their monthly ad revenue target? It's depressing that the likes of the Guardian are getting in on the act. My friend implicity trusts the Guardian and keeps texting me their articles going "are you sure she's not innocent?" and I reply with a 5 page essay of why I'm sure :rolleyes:

Journalists churning out loads of articles that makes it look like loads of mainstream media are "questioning the safety of her conviction" when in reality it is just Knapton, Felicity Lawrence and Hitchens churning out loads of the same clickbaity articles.

“People group-thinking their way to ‘(Letby) is a serial killer’ did not seem a stretch to me. Nor did people group-thinking their way to flawed interpretations of medical results.”

What an absolute clown. It is group think that is making morons think she is innocent. It is the overwhelming evidence that makes is believe she is guilty.

Do the people giving an opinion actually bother reading all the evidence that shows evidence of harm? Such as X rays of air in blood vessels or reports of ruptured livers? Nobody has actually tried to explain how two babies randomly started producing loads and loads of insulin without c peptide and how this suddenly stopped and never occured again. Also the unit went through twice the amount of insulin they should have at the same time. Yet journalists want to blame sewage.
 
So the “Oxford educated, multi prize winning neuroscientist” seemed to not really have an issue with the trial and verdict until he read a lengthy article in the New Yorker.

So he’s not done any research himself. Just blindly trusting the opinion of a journalist in America.

The ruptured liver on Baby O, a similar injury on his brother Baby P a day later, Baby E (baby in distress, Letby seen doing nothing to help) Baby K (baby in distress, Letby seen doing nothing to help), Baby N bleeding from his throat and screaming (shades of Baby E), the insulin poisonings (F&L) and what happened to their respective brothers (E and M, the latter going from stable, to deaths door and then back to normal), Baby G projectile vomiting but still having a 45ml feed aspirated from her, the weird rashes and discolouration that the NNU staff had never seen before. Babies collapsing just after the parents or NNU staff had left.

Letby's lies about her knowledge of air embolism, her lies about not remembering Baby D and Baby K, her lies about not deliberately taking handover sheets, her lies about not owning a shredder, her lies about being isolated from colleagues, the two bogus Datix reports she filed when she knew people suspected her, the falsified medical records.

To quote Nick Johnson in his closing speech at the first trial "All the clues point in one direction, don't they....she's sitting in the back of court"

'A growing concern' - nope, nothing growing. Just the same few ill-informed, so-called experts chuntering on and having their words regurgitated in the clickbait press.

Nothing to grow. Nowhere for it to go to. I'm waiting for the 'free Lucy Letby' petition or whatever. It's like people in the social media age think you can put 'pressure' on a conviction. They can all duck off tbh. Time will sort them out.

The "growing concern" phrase really grates with me because, as you and others point out, it's the same experts loons time and time again. And referring to the likes of Gill and Adams as experts is beyond a joke.

I hope the inquiry will change the tone of the articles written about her.

And I hate that all this "free Lucy" crap is causing distress to the parents. 😞

The irony is that Peter Hitchens admits he knows nothing about the trial, and just blusters on about concepts English law - most of which haven't been the law for donkey's years.

Lady Thirlwall has very firmly spoken already about all of the pro Letby incoherent ramblings.

"All of this noise has caused enormous additional distress to the parents who have already suffered far too much. I make it absolutely clear that it's not for me as chair of this public inquiry to set about reviewing the convictions. The Court of Appeal has done that, with a very clear result. The convictions stand. The parents of the babies named on the indictment have waited for years for the answers to their questions. It's time to get on with this inquiry."

A very clear message to all the NG simps. Good.
