I think Liberty and Teddy come across as equally naive in their forgiveness (if it's genuine and not just for the prize lol).

Millie I don't feel is on quite the same level because although Liam fucked up in Casa Amor, he's not shown an ongoing pattern of the same crappy behaviour. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely think his behaviour will become a pattern as soon as they're back in the real world but as far as Millie has seen within the villa he fucked up once and is remorseful. She wants to believe he won't do it again.

Jake and Faye however have both shown disrespect in the exact same way over and over again, which makes it harder to sympathise with their partners. If you forgive the same behaviour that many times then people will start to view it as you having made your own bed.

(This post is of course specifically about couples where there is no violence, coercive control, threats etc. That's a whole different issue and I in now way mean that abuse victims are to blame for staying because they 100% are not!)

I am so sorry you've been through this.

When I was much younger, my ex was exactly like Jake, his behaviour is incredibly uncomfortable. It makes it worse when other people text me saying Jake reminds them of him (personality wise).

The girls are all in awkward situation and want to be on the same page as a team for this converstion - my friends took me to a pub and bought a laptop with a PowerPoint on it to convince me that my gut was correct and I should leave.

The parallels are shocking!

Yeah I agree. His whole “I made you my girlfriend” gives me such a bad vibe. It’s like”why would I need to love you, I’ve let you be my girlfriend and what more could you want then that?!”

I think he might have deliberately been a bit distant with her for a few days to make her panic so that he could pull out his "I love you" trump card as part of the storyline he wants them to have about all the obstacles they overcame. And sorry Liberty fans, but I think she's gone along with it because her main priority is also having a memorable storyline.
