I reckon the plastic surgeries were slightly impulsive, especially the lips, because it sounds like she is regretting having it done. She takes the piss out of them herself, quoting other people's comments etc. Yet she's the most defensive person I've come across.

Yeah, she’s real defensive.
No consideration whatsoever to take on board what has been said to her and to process it.
That’s really hard to fix, much depends on how invested she is in trying to improve upon this highly important social skill.
Met lots of Faye’s in my time, it’s usually ‘I am what I am .. live with it’. Gets very tiresome and the ‘change’ hardly ever lasts.
She’s been an interesting islander but I’m gonna counter that by saying I wish she’d never been there in the first place.

Jake is far worse than Tyler, he’s been leading Liberty on since the beginning and even had the cheek to make her his girlfriend whilst manipulating her the whole time
 
I don’t think he’s been manipulating her? He didn’t fancy on her at first but then he did after time. She was saying I love you early in and while he didjt say it back maybe it was too soon for him but he didn’t want to rock the boat both for the game but also cos he liked her. Some lads aren’t lovey dovey and it’s up to Lib to decide what she wants too. She was happy playing the happy couple until the public opinion came into it. The chap could barely stumble out he loved her - he’s awful at lying - I don’t think he could have faked 8 weeks coupled up with her without at least Liking and fancying her to some extent.

hes a game player yes but I feel like the term gaslighting gets thrown around so easy in this show.

Thanks for your concern but quite the opposite I'm very savvy when it comes to Men & relationships. I see things from a very balanced perspective & don't spend my life hating men or looking for a victim.

Couldn't agree more! Everyone's learnt the term gaslighting and looks for it everywhere, even when its not there!

I think Jake is a creepy toad but if he was truly a game player he would have told Liberty he loved her a long time ago. He knows he doesn’t look great by her saying it and him not. If he doesn’t love her then he shouldn’t be forced to say it, and she pretty much forced it out of him last night. I think he used to fancy her, but has gone off her as the process has gone on and now fancies other people.

He knows he hasn’t a chance with anyone else and still likes Lib as a person so is staying with her to reach the final and get deals. He isn’t into her and certainly does not love her. I thought both of them came across badly last night, her forcing him into saying I love you and him blatantly lying and only saying it to save face.

He keeps saying the others are his type but he made Lib his girlfriend but that only happened because nobody else was interested in him. Him making her his girlfriend isn’t a reflection on his feelings for her but more a reflection on everyone else’s lack of feelings for Jake.
 
Thing is with these subtle behaviours, people dont realise theyre even being manipulative.. or being manipulated. Those little things that make you think "am i being crazy/stupud or...". Saying someone is gaslighting, doesnt mean theyre a big bad abuser who plans what theyre doing. It can be stuble behaviours theyre not even aware of.

Ive done it in the past (at the peak of BPD), but hadnt realised until i reflected on it.

Oh yes, manipulative people are often very charming, it’s how they get away with what they do.
