don't be fooled - she is decorating a tree with cheap baubles because she is filming a Christmas themed ad for some brand or other. once that is done, those neon baubles will be straight in the bin, and she'll have the professional decorators in to adorn every surface in her house with £3k worth of tacky decorations.

I dont get the appeal of paying someone to decorate the house to look like a shopping centre! everything is so surface level for Louise, if I had that much spare cash id have definitely taken the kids to lapland or something more memorable than watching a stranger put some expensive baubles up

me neither.. one of the best things as a kid was everyone getting together to put the tree up and decorating it i can't imagine just watching someone else do it and paying 3k for it too!

I don't know why but I find her replies so weird. The way she replies is like she's constantly on the defence in case anyone says anything slightly negative ever. I know she didn't do the decs but this person is essentially complimenting her taste and I don't know...the replies just don't feel like other peoples. Does this make sense to anyone?

You have to wonder how security conscious Louise is when visiting central London and constantly walking along filming with their phones and cameras as they must be so at risk of the masked gangs on bikes appearing from nowhere and snatching. They will have been identified as targets by spotters in the tourist areas

This just isn't true, though. Everything is political, from the things you buy to the media you are able to consume to the sport you watch to the healthcare you get to what your kids are taught and fed in school and how easily they can get there.

I think there's value in trying to understand why someone feels differently from ourselves politically rather than straightforwardly condemning them as our enemy, but ignoring politics entirely is a massively privileged take and a political stance in itself.
