It’s still wild to me that she’s got Darcy at the socials.

My good friend works in a public service job alongside the (adult) child of someone famous. And I mean, internationally known, multi-millionaire famous. And their kid always wanted to do this job so here they are, in their early twenties, doing shift work and putting the graft in. Now, I’m sure they go back to a lovely flat where they they never worry about paying their rent or that week’s food bill but the point is that despite every advantage in the world, this young adult is making their own way in the world and working hard to achieve what they want to do.

Why oh why would you be encouraging your child to be an influencer? I don’t actually have a problem toooo much with it as a job but bloody hell, get some actual life experience before you do it!

I assume because it’s easy money and doesn’t require any talent or hard work from either the parent or the child. It’s nothing like being actually famous for being gifted in a certain field. Mostly, it’s luck.

Chris Martin’s daughter worked at a Hollister for gods sake!

I think Jamie Oliver’s eldest is training to be a nurse. Although his eldest son has released a cookbook so there’s still some nepotism there!
Mel B’s daughter has made a documentary about nepotism. I think she went undercover to see how far being recognised and her mum’s name would get her.
Influencers are ten a penny these days. I don’t know if there is room or a need for anymore! All of Darcy’s generation will want to be influencers. A lot of Gen Z seem to be quitting their jobs to do TikTok or nothing at all. It doesn’t add any value to society.

I was about to mention Jamie Oliver’s two eldest girls. One like you say a nurse and the other travelling in Australia. Both properly protected and parenting, both level-headed and making their own way in the world.
I strongly believe Pearl will fall into this category but Darcy, I’m not so sure.

When did darcy change her surname I thought she was Watson
her surname is Watson. Louise seems to have her using Darcy Pentland as a stage name/her identity on social media - which would be a good idea in theory, but in Louise's case is a very vague attempt to protect her privacy as everyone knows her real surname, and is far more done in the hope that it open doors for Darcy and give her more opportunities by her association with the Pentland name and Louise's career as an influencer. true nepo baby in the making. 🙄

I think Gordon Ramsay’s kids all live pretty normal lives too, though I think one of the girls has done some TV presenting. Ramsay seems to have done a pretty good job mostly keeping out of the spotlight, though they may have been on some of his cooking shows to encourage kids to cook.

Eh, Tilly Ramsay is ultimate nepo kid 😂 she was even on Strictly

Has Darcy’s TikTok been banned?? Hopefully they’ve finally come to their senses!!

They really do!! I’ve gone to A+E because 111 booked me, the nurse triaging me got visibly annoyed at me and asked me why I thought I was ill enough to come in ,and I went overdrive apologising and saying I was just doing what 111 said 😩

It's the most frustrating service, last year I tore a muscle in my back which went into spasm. I got up and hit the floor and couldn't move. I called 111 while awaiting my dad to arrive as I couldn't move at all and was on the floor (it was 4am, and he has a spare key) and they told me it wasn't an emergency, and so to wait for my dad to drive over and to call my GP at 8am to try get an "on the day appointment" (which other than phone consults, they won't even offer).
Had to wait an hour for my retired father to arrive and try get me upright himself!! He took one look at me in a heap on the floor and managed to get me up and to A&E.

The only reason I didn't do 999 was that in my delirious state I thought an ambulance would be too quick and I didn't want my door breaking down before Dad arrived. I was ideally wanting either advice for my dad to get me upright without causing more damage or pain, or one of the first responders to come help.

Ended up a month on diazepam and off work, I couldn't even put my socks on without help.

Yeah and I think the rest of them don’t seem to be doing anything worthwhile. They are definitely living off his money!
Tilly was on Masterchef Australia too - the celebrity version! Holly is engaged to a former Olympian.
I stand corrected! It’s a shame, as when they were on their dad’s show ( about teaching kids the basics of cookery?), they all seemed pretty fame averse/normal and I thought Gordon Ramsay came across as a great dad ( gentle, patient, warm and funny).
