So true health wise she needs too

this isn’t slamming people , this is pointing out what she makes us so aware of every day. She openly talks about being a bigger woman , so why are we not allowed say that too. Anybody who is in any way over weight can suffer more health risks etc. This is hardly news to anybody. But my point is if she’s that unhappy she does have the power to change it. If she wanted to slim down she absolutely could , instead she complains all the time.

I’ve no major opinion on Louise one way or the other but I have to say I agree with her here.
Why say “all sizes” when you are clearly not catering for all sizes. It’s false and misleading.

Literally this! I can absolutely see where she's coming from! The use of all sizes is insulting here. I see that it goes up to an XL which H&M are calling a 14. But XL in normal H&M clothing is definitely an 18. I don't understand the lack of consistency.

I don't mind Louise but god, she does love a moan. I feel that it must be hard work to be that offended all the time.

I think that overlooks a huge portion of many women’s lives where they are perhaps not where they would wish to be but would still like to look nice.

and I totally understand this, I’m a size 10 and sometimes a zara large doesn’t fit me and it’s very frustrating so I see her point but I also think that if something was bugging me that much and I loved fashion that much I’d make a lifestyle change so that I was able to wear the things I liked. Unfortunately the fashion industry as diverse as it’s becoming , still don’t see bigger sizes as attractive especially high end. It’s very frustrating but that’s the way it is 😭

Just seen Louise's story and agress with the sizing thing-especially since their last collaboration collection with Vampires Wife went to a size 22....
Yes I fully agree . I feel as I said earlier and what the other post above mentions Simone would be someone that would see someone larger as not for her clothing aesthetic .I’m surprised H&M have been so inconsistent ... I think they should Haven spoken to being inclusive at all .

I just watched Louise’s stories about body positivity. I obviously don’t understand it but if it’s that awful being plus size and your doctor treats you differently (don’t know how she knows this) and you have less chance of getting a job then do something about it. I just don’t get how she can sit there and moan and moan about something that she can do something about. Like she has the ability to lose some weight. If she’s happy with her size, great but gosh please stop being offended about everything.

If only it was as easy to loose weight as when a person online says shur just loose weight. You have managed to miss the point in its entirety.
You are basically saying “ well tough “. You don’t deserve the same medical treatment as everyone else’s because you didn’t manage to stick to the diet.

I have to agree with this. H&M have started the marketing campaign for the H&MXSimone Rocha range and it’s very misleading. If the fit is only going up to a L/14 then it’s not for all bodies. Either Simone shouldn’t have said it or marketing should have edited it out.

I’m not saying it’s right ! I’m just saying it’s in keeping with Simone ... and I would think she doesn’t want the aesthetic disrupted . I do think she doesn’t have spoken to being inclusive . When she clearly isn’t . It’s hard to tell tone in these messages but I meant it in it’s a continuing Simone /
Certain designer issue ... happy Friday 💜
I agree, it is in keeping with Simone’s own line. Therefore Simone needs to roll back on the claim her clothes are for all bodies. No, Simone, they are for a select number of bodies. I actually like her line and can appreciate her talent but just can’t wear her clothes.

I find it interesting now easily people reach for “just lose weight” - it’s an uncomplicated response to a highly complicated issue. If it were that simple, there would be no issue and no diet industry. All folk are asking for is the same respect as those who have thin privilege right? I think that’s ok.

I witnessed the most awful fat phobia at my previous place of work, from one very slim business owner (female), about the internal promotion of a fat woman to CEO. “She can’t and shouldn’t have the position, she’s fat. That can’t sit at the top and be the face of my business”.

I’m no fan of Louise which will be evident from my earlier posts on this thread, but the answer to discrimination against fat people when accessing medical care and in the workplace is not simply for everyone to lose weight 🙄 we wouldn’t allow discrimination on the grounds of any other physical characteristic.

One thing I will agree with. You only have to read the idiotic comments from the likes of Dr Doireann Oleary to see her opinions on over weight people. If that's what a gp can think is appropriate to say in public you can only imagine what she says in private. 🙄

I think Louise just likes to have something to moan about though. Yes the clothes aren’t right for us of larger size but neither are 90% of designer clothes. She had Laura Cunningham on this morning and it would depress you the way they spoke about lockdown and motherhood.

sure she complained on Twitter about Adele losing weight cause she felt she couldn’t relate to her anymore. How begrudging is that ?

Bet their was a lot of woe is me nonsense out of both of them, we’ve all being stuck at home trying to work and raise children and a lot of us are just getting on with it and not moaning about it. And as someone said above if she’s that miserable loose weight. I put on over a stone and on Christmas Day nothing would fit me and I felt like 💩. I’ve since took up walking started to eat better and I’m down over half a stone and also feeling better in myself with my mental health with the walking it totally clears my head.

I must admit much as I try to keep an open mind and an open ear to to others‘ lived experiences, the response to Adele’s weight loss from the fat community wasn’t a good look - although I do, because I’ve made myself, understand how it must feel (a little betrayal that there’s one less high profile person who looks like you in a world obsessed with the thin) I think it’s best just to say alrighty and move on.
