She comes across as so unlikeable all the time! I say she would be awful to chat to in that if your views match hers that she just thinks she is right and that is it.

What type of school did she go to where she was weighed regularly? I was never once weighed in school nor had to give my weight and I have younger cousins still in primary and secondary school (i have a few and they go to a few different schools) and this is not a thing in any of the schools.

While BMI has it's flaws it is a useful indicator. I say that as someone who is in the overweight category having put on weight during lockdowns.

I remember being weighed in school - absolutely hated it even though looking back I was perfect weight. Used to pull a sickie in later years when I knew it was coming up. It was also used as part of maths when decimals, weights, measures was taught

I'm mid 20s so this would have been 2000+ in a very normal national school in the south.

Wow. I am shocked. I am early 30s and went to local secondary school in Cork. Never once weighed. The only physical test we had was a bleep test for running and our results were never recorded anywhere. We only did it twice in six years and it was more of a fun thing to do during PE.

While thinking of PE classes I remembered in 4th to 6th class our PE class regularly used involve being dropped 5k from our school and having to run back before the PE class ended and you needed enough time to change etc. We used to race one another and loved it. Louise would be horrified at it!

On the same day she is on about being weighed and BMI not being a useful measure of health she is sharing PR drops from McDonalds and Krispy Kreme! Does she not get the irony?

this is why I don’t buy the tit on intuitive eating from her. There’s nothing intuitive about an entirely junk food based diet. It must be so hard running after kids at that size, no wonder she’s such a moan

I was weighed in school, we actually had scales in the class and kids were forever jumping on them and asking others to jump on them and being nosy about each other’s weight. Unbelievable now to think of it. I remember being like a stone heavier than every other girl and being absolutely mortified at the time. Cant remember the age but I was 6 stone something (yep that young) when most were 5 and I hated it.

Her stories when she was on the top monument with her children in the phoenix park and so out of breath were very telling, like its not healthy to be that out breath no matter what your size is.

I think what annoys me about Louise and weight is she seems to believe that weight is like height or sexuality or skin colour - pre-ordained and completely out of our control. It’s a way of deflecting any personal responsibility for her diet or lack of exercise. I know some people are just luckier than others in terms of gaining/losing weight. But I would suggest that anyone who follows a nutrition and exercise plan correctly would see results. Whether they want to or not is up to them. But it is within their control.

What about the year of health?

Obviously nobody offered up any freebies

We haven't heard about the yoga in a while. Not that it was doing much for her cardiovascular health anyway tbh.

On another thread with an Influencer who is the same size, posters were saying that they found a world of difference in their breathlessness between when they were a size 24 and whatever size they are now, like size 16-18.

Like, you don't have to be skinny! You can still live life in a bigger body but EASIER!

Totally agree, I've always been about 14 stone and during lockdown put on 3 stone and was up to 17 stone which I'd say Louise is in and around and I was so uncomfortable and couldn't do anything with my kids and in bad form felt uncomfortable and out of breath a lot, I've lost weight and am down to 13 1/2 now, there is nothing wrong with being bigger but it definitely impacts your health so her narrative does not wash with me. I'm still big and a good size 14-16 which I'm happy with but there definitely comes a point where you can be carrying too much weight and it impacts your life, Louise's failure to acknowledge that is ignorant.

14-16 isn’t big, you’ve done amazing with the weight loss👏👏
