She has lanugo - downy hair covering her face due to lack of nutrition because she starves herself

Also, what happened to that guy she was desperate to impress - the one who took a photo of her walking down the street the morning after they were together? I guess he wasn’t keen on her posting that pic. Wouldn’t want his wife finding out. I expect Liz was trying to speed up the marriage wreckage. So that went well!

Why oh why continue to post a load of photos of yourself as a child for complete strangers? Why would they be remotely curious? It fascinates me that she thinks people find her endlessly intriguing - such indescribable narcissism. She’s a legend in her own mind only sadly.

it’s because she wants people to say the youngest kid looks like her, but she really doesn’t beyond the light hair - she totally has her father’s face.

And this OBSESSION to prove that her youngest looks like her but she is quite clearly a Sim. She's her father's image.

OK, so just keeping it real here, I'm going to put some of what being 50 or in your fifties truly involves (along with the good stuff, of course): chin hair, hot sweats, weight gain, cholesterol battles, thinning hair, invisibility, trouble finding clothes that look right, being too old to get publishing contracts, bereavement, anxiety about elderly parents, etc etc etc etc. Comes to us all at some point, yes, even to LF.

Wouldn’t it have been easier for the birthday “ girl” to ask a guest or one of her daughters to take the picture rather than propping the phone up on the side board ( you can see it in the bottom of the picture) , setting the timer and running back to position herself in that pose with that sodding , bloody jaunty bowler hat.

There is absolutely nothing about this pic that says “surprise birthday party” to me. Well, a rather sad little “happy birthday” banner, but that’s it. None of the usual party paraphernalia - drinks, food, bowls of crisps, lights, unwrapped gifts, er, people - y’know. Noone even reflected in the mirror.

It’s all rather sad.

We can assume big sister was babysitting little sister and did the right thing by little sister by helping her create a “birthday” for her tragic mother. The Chinese meal was likely purchased and eaten by the two girls. Maybe her parents and other offspring were out of shot, changing into their drag queen shoes.
