I dunno, if you look at their discography, Between Us charted about the same as all their other albums in the UK. They were definitely selling less on their last few albums than their peak with Get Weird and Glory Days, but not hugely different from their first few albums. Their last few songs were sucky but Sweet Melody wasn't that old and was one of their best and Heartbreak Anthem did well too. I still think they had a good shot.

I agree, it only fell off a bit at the end when they were contracted to get the last singles out - there was no real push, it didn’t come across as though they were fussed about charting, it was more meeting obligations.

I really didn’t like any of the additional five songs on Between Us tbh

Hearing Perrie at the end of the new rock version of YGYW makes it so painfully clear how wasted her voice is on radio-friendly pop.

I do think it’s a shame that these small shows are not showcasing her very well, she’s not singing a lot of it and when she is she’s lip syncing over pre-recorded live vocals…. It’s so incredibly disappointing to see someone who I rated highly (with Little Mix) as a vocal group be so half arsed.

it’s like a bad tribute act. the medley showcases nothing of her. Someone should’ve advised her not to…

America slept on them sadly, I think their music is catchier and better than Fifth Harmony and Black Pink and they seemed more friendly with each other than other bands who seemed to give off the mean girls competing with each other vibes

I remember when they cancelled the US tour (think it was before get weird era) they never really seemed to have significant presence in the US after that. I feel they never really took advantage of when their debut charted high on billboard.
