Tom Grennan filled in for Coldplay once as Chris Martin was ill so he did 2 concerts, maybe its a regular thing

I don't know how popular Coldplay are among gen z (I'm a millennial who's never seen the appeal!) but I think they are really desperate to keep themselves current for the next generation rather than being a band your parents like.I wonder how they managed to get Coldplay
They headlined radio one this year too, so it wouldn't surprise me if they are doing it cheaper for the exposure.
