Steph's been on mumsnet I see 😂 hiding in plain sight and all that.

2) She got a payout from his personal life insurance policy. The sum assured should have been set up to cover their mortgage in full. If she got like £200k from a life policy, that would explain how she legitimately kept the house.
3) She also got £50k from Ted (loft money) hard to say how much has been spent yet but a lot seemed to still be there?
4) If she has been spending lavishly and has no legitimate funds coming into her account then she could raise suspicions/ get investigated under proceeds of crime / anti money laundering legislation - more likely by National Crime Agency than HMRC. However no signs she has been living lavishly (other than Sky Sports)
5) She claims to be getting by with hairdressers income and some dividends from equity she put into the business. This raises a lot of questions for me as she would have had to invest heavily to generate a reasonable income from it. How much equity did she put in, was this funded from proceeds of the life policy that paid out on John's death, Or was it funded with some of the £50k Ted gave her? Most of it is still in the loft though?
6) Maybe a sudden large investment into the hairdresser's has set alarm bells ringing over source of funds but again I don't think HMRC would investigate, it would be the NCA, and also how did she fund it
7) Or... the whole hairdresser's thing is a lie and she is using Ted money to pay her Sky Sport etc!

Just on point 2, she said she got a payout from the life insurance but we don’t know that she did. Could have been covering for the 50k she got from Ted or some other income she didn’t want to mention.

I mean we don't live like millionaires in my house but even we have Sky Sports... it comes with the children's channels (or at least it did years ago) 😭 😂 but maybe she is paying the way for a man who can't go without watching the Manchester derby😂😂😂

I thought that! There's a lot about Kate that seems a bit suss.

- In series 1, Hilton was giving her orders to do things with arrest figures, could he have got her to do other things?
- In series 2, she was friends with Jayne Akers who was proven to be corrupt. Having an affair with her husband who knew about it. We never got to the bottom of why Jayne called Kate the night of the ambush. She also told Richard Akers stuff from the investigation.
- Lindsey Denton tried to get her to "tell the truth" and said "you've done worse than that". Everyone kept saying Denton was smart and observant. Like she'd know Kate had done something worse that whatever it was she said. (I think it was assumed she meant the affair?)
- When she confronts Dot, she tells him everything she knows about how he became the caddy- but there was never any proof he'd been groomed all along. Could she have killed him deliberately? She also insisted on taking his dying declaration, and made that idea of 4 H's which is a total stretch. What if there was never a fourth person? Convenient all the names started with "H".
- She keeps saying in this series that she's done arresting police officers and just wants to catch criminals. Seems a bit strange to know about so much corruption and NOT want to do anything about it?

Was about to say this! Sky sports doesn't mean you're splashing the cash it usually comes as part of a package I had it for years along with Disney etc and I don't think any of the sports channels were ever watched. Maybe she just wanted Steves company😂 quick way to a man's heart boast about what sports channels you have 🤷🤣

Oh fantastic tactic from Steph there. "Yeah Steve love sports always been a sporty girl, have you seen Sky Sports 1 they show some cracking stuff on there, don't worry about the 50k in my attic lol fancy watching the Champions League final here Thursday?"

What Ryan is doing now is no different to what he did working with McQueen and Corbett. I can't see anything to suggest he's doing this as a vendetta cos Kate said something to him 9 years earlier that he might or might not have got upset about.

He couldn’t hide from Kate because Davidson introduced them to each other. Ryan is fully aware that Kate knows who he is and isn’t scared of him. He realised his threats won’t work even when he’s pointing a gun at her. She called him a little boy and he responded by bigging himself up and listing off his ‘achievements’. He knows his card has been marked since the day he arrived at MIT.

Yea I think Kate underestimated him. I love Ryan even though he is a (psychotic killer). The look he gave Jo when she told him she was moving him out of MIT Brillianr
