What was it Ted said, "malolo has been explaining for almost fifteen hours now and every minute has felt like a lifetime"? Something like that anyway 😂

@malolo I feel like you are genuinely the Ted of this thread - cutting through all the crazy theories with calm reasoning

What if it just shows she is related to John's mother and obviously Hastings knows it's John's mother who knows
Jo's date of birth is 22nd April 1979 and Corbett's is 3 June 1979 so can't be the mother anyway.

Why do they keep sending suspects to the same prisions when they know they will be murdered?
I know they seemed surprised that guards might in on it too 😂 like if they have police and solicitors in their pocket, why wouldn't they have infiltrated the prison system.

It might not be Jo in the photo with the woman, it could be her sister and Mum maybe?
Maybe something happened to them both and that is why she says she has no family.

Also, does anyone have any theories about Stephanie the wife of John Corbett?
My partner thinks she has a much more significant role . The other week when Steve was in her house there was a magnetic board with letters on it . It had like a shopping list on it with things like Beer on it . I think that there was more on it but can’t recall . I thought it was weird at the time . Also the questioning about the sports and TV package could be a clue . He thinks a man is living with her and that person could be a surprise / twist ! It was an interesting thought . Could that male end up being linked to Jo .

Think this has been missed due to the big story about a relative but what do people think about there being more than one balaclava man?
I thought we already knew that 🤷‍♀️

I thought it was Bear that was on the notice board and it was the single H along from it on the board and tiles that was the teaser.

Just thinking....why would the dna be matched to someone else? What am I trying to say...like if my sample was found and my dad was also on the database, why would they be compared to see if there is a relative? I know that test could be easily done in the circumstances of looking for blood relatives, but why would it be done just randomly? Does that make any sense?

Steve said they ran it thru the full database as it wasn’t specifically a police officer they were looking for (ac12 obv were but not the actual forensic people)

So running the sample thru brought up partial matches too

They were running any DNA they found and Jo's has flagged up her own sample and the connected nominal on the PNC. If they didn't know it was Jo's then they would have only known that the sample came from a relative of the nominal.

When they look at DNA, they look at partial matches too to try and get more chances of getting a match. Like, if your house is burgled, they might find some DNA but it won't be a full match because the person who robbed you hasn't been caught before. But they might have a relative, like a brother or uncle who HAS been previous arrested, so they can then go find all the family members of that partial match they do have to narrow down their search area.
