Vella was talking about this with the lawyer.
This was the cock up that got Steve moved to AC12 in the first place. Was it a set up? I wondered this last week.

The photo of Jo would be from her file because of her DNA being flagged. The match is male, and if they'd shown the photo of that person there'd be no point in the cliffhanger because of all the analysis people do after the show.
 
Tommy Hunter is her brother, got her recruited into the police (possibly alongside Dot at Hillside?) and she was part of the OCG. Then when Tommy turned rat she tried to get out but OCG won’t let her. She can’t rat as they’ll kill her but she also doesn’t want to be part of OCG either.

It's not correct when people say it couldn't be anyone. It could be anyone. Anyone can be registered on the database, witnesses, victims, criminals, people of interest, stop and searches, police officers themselves can be on the PNC. So yes, it could be anyone.
 
I’m still confused about what case Gail Vella and Bakewell were talking about with the race element? Also, why was he speaking to Gail in the first place?? Sorry if that’s a dumb question

It would be a bit anti-climatic but if Jo’s relative is one of the betting shop robbers I guess it would confirm the set up and how engrained she is with the OCG and would get the ball rolling with her conviction / possible immunity deal if she spills all she knows

Having said that, her “I don’t have any family” comment in episode 1 has to have some significance! Definitely leaning towards the care home theory

Can’t believe I’ve got to go on with my life as normal for a whole week, I need answers!

The photo was definitely Jo, it’s the same one as on her ID badge.

I’m not sure who her father/brother is going to be - but I do wonder if a twist will be that Jo doesn’t know either. Especially if the theories around being in care are true.
