They said they looked beyond the police database, so that (to me) implied it’s not an officer as they looked on the wider database you or I would be on if we were arrested/cautioned.

I've answered it multiple times in the thread.

A nominal is someone who has a record on the PNC which has to come about from at least an official warning. A serving police officer wouldn't have a record so isn't on the PNC.

Lastnight I started wondering if she could be Jackie's daughter from her younger years when she had a relationship with Tony gates previously, making Tony her dad. I think it's possible but prefer the theory that it's Tommy hunter.

So in this thread we've had speculation that Jo and Gail Vella are sisters. And now Tony Gates could be Jo's dad?

I am rewatching series 5 so my current theory is that Jo is continuing John Corbett's work in attempting to identify who H is. She could be working alone or could be deep undercover.

So, she is involved with the OCG but she's doing it in order to expose corruption within the Police.

I think the DNA link is a red herring.

Why not? Is he too young? I'm not clued up on people's ages etc.

Surely they would use a mixed race actor then like this other children?! I don’t think they’d use a white actor if he was her dad.

Jackie would be 54 now, how old do we think Jo is?

It’s the photo from her apartment that the camera ran over in episode 1 that’s making me think Jackie.

Just because he wasn't white doesn't mean she would be mixed race considering Jackie's white. A black parent and a white parent don't necessarily always make child with dark skin. Like I said I do think it's Hunter this was simply a thought.
