Yes me too. I thought that was odd, she could have just said she’ll be going when she’s two years old, a lot of people wait a bit longer if they can it’s not a big deal but by saying that she has made it one!
Can only think it’s something to do with Rich going
back to work full time and she’s having a strop about it?
Yeah my assumption was that it had to do with Rich's work too.

I went to nursery at 2 because my parents had other care for me until then and they wanted to socialise me. It's not a big deal at all but trust Lily to make it one.
Also laughed when she said that she had no personality in her first trimester, as if she ever has any personality.

Poor Child isn’t going to be able to have an adventurous childhood because mummy doesn’t like messy or loud toys. So glad my mum and dad Embraced me being a child. 😡

Grey is just the complete opposite of what her namesake suggests. Poor child. Middle name Grey, OK but first name 😬 There’s so many cheerful/trendy colour names such as Sienna, Violet, Ruby... I could go on. I’m also curious about the reason behind Grey going to nursery at 2. Tbh why is she going when Lily is WFH making her content in her big room office so Rich can go back to work full-time?

She literally wrote she was having a “grey day today”. As in, a day with her daughter and not a really miserable day. How awful.

This comment is almost similar to how she doesn't understand why some women choose to be child-free.

So bleeping one sided and self-absorbed, she failed to take into account the perspectives of others. Thank god she had a Cesarean delivery, otherwise she will be one of those annoying people who don't understand why some women had epidural and why can't they give birth naturally because GIVING BRITH IS SO NATURAL GUYS, YOUR BODY TJUST AKES OVER.

I swear she was Mother Theresa her past life, I just don't understand how a woman like her gets so lucky - easy job, private education money, husband and baby that she conceived without any issue. I am so sorry to say this, she ought to experience some hardship in life.

Honestly I think it’s even more ridiculous coming from her. Didn’t she have an emergency c-section? How did her body take over then? She speaks as if she had a super easy vaginal birth with no pain medication. I actually had one of those and I hate this whole narrative of your body taking over and everyone being able to have a “natural” or “easy” birth. Even if I had one, I am aware that not everyone else is that lucky and it’s not something to be ashamed of. But I guess nobody told her..

I know someone who never went into labour. Three days at attempting an induction at 12 days overdue and in the end they had to go to c section as her body did literally nothing naturally to get the baby out in the end.

Also why be so cryptic about sending her to nursery at 2? I’ve been very vocal about her sending her now (only because she seems to hate spending any time with her own daughter) but if it’s a decision they’ve made just say it, don’t hint at some unspoken secret that means it’s this extra special difficult thing they’ve decided to do.

I like Madeleine Olivia so much but I worry for her, I don’t think this is quite the right career for her given her mental health issues. She’s really good and I love her content but it seems to cause her so much stress - I wonder is it worth it?
She’s such a lovely genuine girl.

Totally off-topic, as it’s about Madeleine Olivia rather than Lily. Is she still on Instagram every other day banging on about how much Covid is affecting her mental health? If so, she needs to just remove herself from social media now, it’s clearly doing her no good at all.

I used to enjoy her content, but I had to unfollow and unsubscribe a short way into the first lockdown, because the constant moaning just angered me. Fine, the pandemic is affecting your mental health, it is for a lot of people. But it bugged me so much, because she made such a drama about it, but... your job is on the internet, you literally don’t need to leave your home if you are so very, very scared. I think it got me as I’m a key worker, and have continued working throughout, at genuine risk due to my type of work. Maybe I’m being overly cruel, but it just angered me to come in from long, long days at work, to read Instastories all about how much she was struggling, whilst safely in lockdown at home. Made me eye roll enough to unfollow. I’m really sorry to anybody on here whose mental health has been affected by the pandemic, please don’t think that I’m saying your feelings aren’t valid, because they are. I think it was just something that was affecting my OWN mental health adversely, so I removed myself from her followers list.

I think this was also around the time that she had a big rant on Instagram about how a brand had asked her to do some free promotion for them. Fine, that’s obviously not okay. But her way of complaining about it was literally to write that, “In no other workplace would I be expected to work outside of my normal hours for free.” Umm... have you never worked in any other industry, then? I work in a professional field: literally every single one of my colleagues works well over their stipulated hours every week because we care about our jobs, and know that the work needs to get done, because it’s bloody important. So yeah, I see her point, but I couldn’t believe her completely tone-deaf argument.

Urgh, sorry. Like I said, I actually used to really like her content. I might check out her channel to see if there’s any new reno content. It’s just a shame that I can’t follow her socials anymore, too much negativity for me. However, she lives really close to my house, so I see her out and about all the time.

A comment about Lily, so that this ranty post isn’t entirely off-topic! I was so sure that the nursery thing was due to the free hours, because wouldn’t it sooo fit with the pattern of cheap-skate Lily never paying for a bloody thing?! But then I remembered that free hours are from 3-years-old... So what on earth could it be? She sounded very bitter about it, whatever it is.

The free work thingy is so true, we are literally doing free work all the time. If you employed as a barrister, you don’t just do barrister work, you need to clock in for admin, business development and a whole range of things that aren’t on our JD. Do they think we get paid extra for all the free labour? So patronising.
She isn’t the only one that pull out the same excuse though I have seen so many other said the same thing.

Lily rather save up for Grey’s first home than actually investing on her nursery fee. Okay, priorities. This is how the rich get richer.

I have no problem with Lily and Rich wanting to be able to give their children money when they are older to buy a home but I don't understand why they are living in a house Lily clearly is very unhappy with. They bought that house to grow into and it is perfectly adequate for a family of four especially if they extended into the loft space.

I think Lily wants playroom for Grey as that's what seems to be the done thing at the moment but it is generally a keeping up with the Joneses thing. My sister and I shared a bedroom until I wanted my own space and we played in there or in our living room.

Had Lily been sensible she could have blocked off the lounge in her house rather than have a completely open plan ground floor and used that as a playroom.
