Exactly! Canna Campbell has money (the money Leigh wishes she had, I’m sure) yet she is so humble and relatable about budgeting, finance and her lifestyle in general. Love her!

Why couldn't they get someone with lived experience to talk about money and budgeting with real financial hardship? And I dunno, may be then pay them for their time...

If anyone wants tips on being an professional athlete, I can give you my tips. Not that I'm an athlete or anything, but it's just what works for me and I could waffle on enough to fill a content void 😄 (like someone we know!)
 
Guys I’ve got some great budgeting tips. Be a white, thin female Instagram grifter and never have to pay for things us mere plebs or ‘assisted living’ types have to pay for again such as; cleaners, clothes, frozen food, meal prep boxes, beauty/body products, grange, candles and all the other tit we all have to pay for but this idiot gets for free and then preaches to us about budgeting. I mean you honestly couldn’t make this tit up!
Leigh, you have one kid, live in a tiny inner city apartment, are married to someone earning a reasonable income and get a lot of essentials for free. Just shut the duck up.
I don’t believe you are contractually obligated to post dumb, stupid, ignorant stories from your car every morning. Nobody enjoys them surely. Stop already. It’s weird.
And your poor neighbour. That was so bleeping ick. ‘We don’t want gentrification’ lol! Your historical comments all over the internet would say otherwise. The internet is forever, sis. 🤮

This!! Totally agree. Yes please give me your budgeting tips while you throw parties at the Ivy, wear Bottega, holiday in Europe and get soooo many free things your neighbour thinks you have a shopping problem and your locker at work overflows with free tit. #putyourfreeshitoutforleigh

No deadshit. Your followers that fund your 'boujee' lifestyle have simple said they prefer your beauty tips. That's it. Because that's what you started as before you sold your soul.

To me it just came across as her trying to avoid being raked over the coals by people having a go at her for disseminating budgeting advice when she’s clearly in a position to spend discretionary money. I read all of these comments before watching her stories, and based on what everyone here is saying I was expecting something with an “off” tone to it, but all I saw was someone chatting in an honest way about financial maintenance being important. 🤷🏼‍♀️
 
Someone just uploaded this on the other page.. just Leigh and Kristin making fun of an Indigenous man. Who uses the language "hot A*o?????" She should've been sacked from Cosmo back then

Yeah I can’t stand Leigh these days but I agree, I took those comments of hers to be an acknowledgement of her privilege rather than a brag. Just very badly expressed.

I’d say you are correct and probably anyone else it wouldn’t have annoyed me, only Leigh and her recent pretentious ways made it seem irritating.
 
I am new here, but does anyone else feel like this is happening to almost all of Mamamia's host? I used to love listening to their podcasts but now I can't listen! TGM was great with Andrew and Holly but now I can't listen to Leigh and Tegan (although I don't mind Tegan from time to time). And Mamamia Outloud seems to be following the same trend - it has gone downhill in the last year.

Im a huge outlouder fan (dont come at me if you are not!!!) But when Jessie broke her leg it was soooooooooo over the top, it really began to irritate me, she isnt the first person in the world to have it happen too, but every single post, every single podcast, every single article somehow featured Jessies broken leg. I just needed to vent that and havent had the opportunity to do so until now! But Holly, Jessie, Claire, Em, Eliza, they are all nice and have always replied to a question or comment I have made But Leigh is just next level, she really grinds my gears!!!

I was also a huge Outloud fan - would always be looking forward to listening for over 8 years. But recently there just seems to be a shift. Your example of Jessie is just one of many that have only started to appear this year. For the most part I still really enjoy listening to Holly and Claire and love it when they have people like Susan Carland and Neralda Jacobs are on, but I just can't handle the self-serving discussions that seem to have appeared this year. I wish it was more like previous years, more intelligent, fun conversation and less about each hosts personal gripes.

It does feel like it. I did subscribe to MPlus but felt I wasn't getting much out of it. Plus the additional Outloud segments went even deeper into self-interested topics. For instance the last two subscriber episodes were Part 1 and Part 2 of Jessie's engagement. Maybe some Outlouders are interested in this but I am not paying money for this.
