Not our Leigh campbell having to backtrack this morning after saying “I absolutely do have a love/hate relationship with my followers”.

Also her being asked when you ask for frozen food recommendations are you looking for free stuff she gives some weird explanation about if she wants a hotel she would just reach out for a “value exchange” 🤮 “that would be weird asking over Insta” then why did you do it all the time? Why the duck don’t you just google things or ask your friends like a normal person? Honestly, just duck off grifter! Also she’s let slip many times that she was broke and in debt when she met rich and he owned property and paid her debt off- like duck off again- don’t be giving us financial advice you absolute loser. One minute “a $9 muffin is so cheap” to “I’ll always buy the raspberries and blueberries for Alex because he loves them” (they’re about $9 at least a punnet at the moment) and she wants to help us with our budgets. Yeah no thanks.
Fix your hair, fix your lips, fix your personality and please stop letting the peeps at mamamia let you host out loud, it’s embarrassing for you and it hurts my ears 😘
 
A whole thread - wow, I have so much to say!!

I still quite like LC and I do follow some of her beauty recommendations when they are legit. She seems to try really hard to make her recommendations seem genuine but I think it’s pretty obvious when it’s her real opinion or if it’s paid.

The thing that gets me though is the weird flexing of her “wealth”. I'm eastern suburbs born and bred and I still live here, and I have never felt the need to talk about money. My friends and I laugh at people like LC because it’s SO OBVIOUS when someone has moved here for the clout. Genuine wealth doesn’t flex. It’s a given.

In saying that, I can think of at least two other women I know IRL who have recently turned 40 and they're starting to act a bit like LC. It's like they've hit 40 and perhaps their life isn't where they thought it would be so they're trying to convince themselves (and everyone else) how happy they are.

I was a bit offended when she said in her stories that women don't like other women earning $$. Seriously? What is she basing this on? I don't think about money or how much others are earning. She seems to think and talk about money ALL THE TIME - why though? How often do we hear Amy Gerard or KFE talk about their income?

Final thought (for now!) - my dad passed away recently too and it is earth-shattering. I totally understand the shift towards living for now, going on more trips, going for dinner more etc etc. But then she said "I'm shopping more now". Everyone is different but losing my dad made me shop less because I realised that "stuff" doesn't really make me happy. It's people and memories and experiences that are most meaningful. I get massive anxiety when her camera moves and we get a glimpse of the mess in the background.

I love Tattle, so many LOLs!
 
I have messaged Leigh a few times and we have had some laughs and a good banter. I can't help but wonder if the people that find her a bit rude are asking beauty advice - she has been quite clear that she only answers that stuff via You Beauty.

I agree with everything you said above! Also I’m so sorry to hear you recently lost your dad. My heart absolutely broke for Leigh and her family when they lost him. I can’t even image how it must feel ❤️ On another note, she is insane to think women don’t want other women to make money. I am so so so proud of all the women I know who are doing well financially and reaping the rewards of hard work! I extend that feeling to pretty much anyone who isn’t a complete hole as soon as their economic situation changes (cough cough, LC). Also, I agree Tattle is a fun little outlet for most of us- not serious at all! I got into it during lockdown and it was nice to have a little chat and witch with all the hilarious people on here. So many talented and funny writers among us!
 
I used to really like Leigh. Her writing about fertility resonated with me and I used to rate her beauty recommendations. Now she is arrogant, completely rude to her followers, speaks down to everyone and honestly thinks she's the best. I've never seen any follower speak down to their followers like she does. I've also never seen anyone screenshot as many "thank you" "love your work" messages and post them, either. She brags about everything - comments I've heard include "I can get my hair done at ANY salon but choose to colour my hair at home" "I get access to any product I want" "I get so many products for free I can't take them all home" Her bragging of her locker at work was disgusting.
Now, her IG is used to hock meat, meal delivery services, cleaning services, fast fashion like Amazon (one of the biggest polluters in the world) kids crap, snacks and everything in between. I can't think of anyone else who promotes as much tit as she does.All of her beauty recommendations that are paid for are recommended also in You Beauty or are a Mamamia sponsor.
So many products that are recommended on the podcast appear a week later as a paid promotion on her private IG. Mia sucks up to her because Leigh did establish the whole You Beauty aspect of Mamamia that has done really well and bought in heaps of beauty and makeup advertising for the company.
I am also confused about why she suddenly thinks shes a fashion influencer.
Her comments about "I do paid partnerships to support my family" are sickening. You're not a single mum working 2 or 3 backbreaking shift work jobs to keep the power on. She complains about everything.

What I don’t understand is how someone with all this beauty stuff at her disposal including cosmetic treatments she still looks like that? Her eye bags are embarrassing and her lips are foul.

Yes she genuinely looks like tit. She needs to dissolve all that filler ASAP. I don't trust any of her recs anymore.

I watched Leigh’s silly rant about Tattler- I found my people! I love to chat about the ridiculous things these influencers go on about - leigh is beyond obnoxious. I DM’d her to say I think it is inaccurate and off putting, perhaps even lacking the gratitude for us- her audience she outspokenly requests from her followers- to say she provides us all info for “free”- it certainly is not free! There is a transaction at play, without an audience, she isn’t securing paid content deals! We may not pay however we absorb her endless advertisements for the pleasure of her “expert” advice. I worded it in a much more polite tone. Her DM back was so rude “are you paying me”. Then she blocked me. I get it, not nice to be called out. I’m also eastern suburbs born and bred as a previous commenter mentioned- she is ALWAYS talking about her amazing income and lifestyle- not humble and not even slightly accurate.
