He's the ultimate grifter. His TV career crashed and burned faster than a Musk rocket. Plays his echo chamber like a fiddle and they lap it up

I wonder if he's actually good at anything? Doesn't look particularly sporty. I suppose general knowledge board games might be his thing? I think something like chess might be a step too far, possible more of a connect four man.

He'll be prepping for his Met Police onslaught tomorrow.

I can imagine him being very "competitive" with any board game.. Hissy fits and tantrums.

Hahah, you're so right. Having said that I once got dumped over a game of monopoly. She wanted me to sell her Mayfair and refused. 😒s t

Yeah, Khan has just decided after two days there needs to be an 'urgent' look at how the police acted ... not that urgent then.

I tuned in at the same time and thought the same..but persevered and I found it a really interesting debate. So many tragic stories from callers questioning the "Christian" stance on assisted dying.

I tuned in at midday to hear Lammy say: "I. Want. To. Talk. About. Assisted. Suicide.". Well David, you go right ahead son, but I won't be bleeping listening! Honestly ... is that what people want on a Bank Holiday Monday? Ye gads!

I probably would agree with you, but wonder when would be a 'good time' to discuss it - if it is to be discussed ?!

Having looked at the LBC website just now, there still aren't any programme listings for the week. However, on TV, the EPG does list the programmes for the week. As far as I can see they are running a 'normal' schedule.

Ian Payne announced that they are a bit "short staffed" at LBC just now.
Have you broken curfew at Brinsworth House again?
It's well known that all forms of speech radio are forbidden there, instead it's a constant diet of Max Bygraves & Don Estelle over the tannoy system.
Is it true that all the HSL riser/recliner chairs have built-in speakers??

Give my regards to Steve x

It's 'the law of unintended consequences' in action. Fall out with Steve Allen and destabilize the entire LBC schedule for months. Why don't the clowns fall to their knees and and beg Steve to go back?

I'll never stop missing him. I've had to stop listening to Steve Allen The Whole Show because, for some reason, I receive two shows simultaneously talking over one another, so I'm permanently tuned in to A Little Bit Extra with the volume turned to zero once my day starts so that I'm not forever in the Groundhog Day of February 17th.

Having had it on constantly from 4am every day for donkey's years I no longer listen to LBC at all, but I can't find any other radio station to replace it. When I try to go back to LBC within the first few words you always get Brexit or Suella Braverman and I know I'd be bored shitless by the turgid LBC diet so.........click.........and off it goes again.

Radio 4 is getting as bad, in desperation I tried Premier Radio because they don't do politics or speak in that ghastly urgent and bullying way that is taking over, many of the discussions are very interesting but the basic belief doesn't vibe with me. What are you, my fellow tattlers, listening to?

Good post. My listening time to LBC has reduced since Steve left for sure. From about an average of 2 hours a day to about half an hour. It's just as you say, a wash-cycle of doom and gloom, rinse and repeat presenters having their own on air therapy sessions. Andrew Castle made me laugh on Sunday when he said something like "I know I'm supposed to be outraged and angry about something but I'm too tired". I think he spoke for most listeners there.

I listen to podcasts that cover my interests. I listen to Talksport between 1 and 4 most days if H & J are on. World Service News. If there's a big political event I might listen to a bit of Marr on LBC. I'm listening to JOB less and less these days but if I'm around I'll listen to the first 5 minutes and if there's no mention of his book or twitter I'll stick with it for a bit.
