I wouldn't normally recommend venturing on to Digital Spy (👺) but the Steve Allen thread has some entertaining stuff from a new poster who is in touch with one of the shopkeepers in Twickenham. Apparently the shops are flooded with hordes of fans looking for Steve! Start at post 9976. 😂
Mr Patel who owns the pack and send shop is getting very upset over this and has told them all to clear off and leave Twickenham alone.😂

The Mother Superior appears to be doing monologues in her show now. She's had enough of this government and can't wait 18 months to get rid apparently.

The tables will turn one day. Anyone demanding a Labour government be turfed out of office would be called a fascist.

Shelagh Fogarty was demanding an early general election. That's hardly fascism!

Surely we've all had enough of this useless, dishonest Government?

I do enjoy the bits when Shelagh denies she is a Labour party supporter.

Well done for finding something to enjoy. Her indignant sanctimony does my head in and I only ever listen to about 5 mins when I've forgotten she was on!

Judging by the last two calls I think James is lining-up a whole afternoon of callers who lost loved ones during the pandemic ... she loves that kind of grief radio, she's in her element when she uses that ploy, I bet she can't wait ... a nice cup of tea and a tray of donuts in front of her as Diane from Maidstone tells the harrowing tale of how her senile granny died at the hands of Matt Hancock.

I haven't listened to daytime LBC all week and I think I feel much better because of it. Non stop misery really does have an effect on your mood. LBC is becoming (has become) and angry station for angry people.

I am lost without my daily dose of Steve. I'll tune into Nick A tonight. I only like his silly shows.

Even just getting the clickbait from the LBC twitter does my head in.

I'll listen to a bit of Ferrari now and that's only because I know what he says winds the wrong sorts up.

Some time ago it was reported that Huw Edwards had been seen lurking around Global Towers.

I can now report that in The Times today, it said that he had agreed a deal with the BBC to remain for three more years, despite having spoken about the fact he was considering scaling back his duties. He is also in talks to present an interview format programme for Welsh broadcaster S4C.

This must be a relief for the BBC which has lost several high-profile journalists to Global including Andrew Marr, Emily Maitlis and Jon Sopel.

Same, I used to love listening to Steve before work as it would add a bit of lightness to your day. It is super depressing listening to JOB, he is one angry man so i stopped last year and feel so much better for it!
