They were obviously fond of each other, and his devotion to her during her illness was very touching, but I always assumed it was a marriage of convenience.

Geezus. Sounds awful. I went to Uni as a 'mature' student and really enjoyed it (although could have done the course in 1 year instead of 4)!! Plus 1/3 of my classmates weren't up to it academically and other 1/3 just seemed to be there because their parents had pushed them in it! LOL. I wouldn't recommend it myself unless it's Science or Engineering. Personally.

Yes, some kids are pushed in by parents & end up stressed, realising that they don't really want to be an accountant fiddling rich folks' tax returns..and would rather just be a number themselves, with a holiday a year and a few drinks down the pub. 😁
O'Brien will never fathom that

Surely if it has been announced (or general knowledge) they should leave LBC immediately.

I actually don't mind this. They are two of my more favourable presenters/journalists. GB News are going from strength to strength. Building up a really good team. Neither Andrew or Camilla are too far right. They are conservatives, but they are mostly fair and reasonable. I wonder where they'll fit them in though as GB News already have a solid team of presenters.

Agreed. Would be a loss to lbc and another gain for GB news who have got significantly better. If their radio station version took off could be serious competition to lbc.
 
Just checked and neither Andrew or Camilla have had their programmes replaced. There is just a blob there, and the tag-line 'Leading Britain's Conversation'. However, you can still write to them ;) as their pictures still appear on the Presenters page.
 
My Google home has given up playing lbc

"Hey Google play lbc"
"I can't do that here, but you can ask me to play on one of your other devices"

None of my 3 "smart" speakers will play it since yesterday night and every other station is working.

At least it looks like it'll not even be on air for 3 hours today 😆. Who are they gonna call now Ian has his own show?

I like Camilla. I also like her legs. 😬 I hope they don't stick her behind a desk. She'd be good on Sunday morning instead of Little Miss No Personality Dehenna Davison (she's a weird one, don't get me started).

For someone who has never had a job (apart from a 6 week summer job once) he gets all weak at the knee's around 'working people'. Well ... unless they voted for Brexit, or read The Mail, The Sun, The Express, watch GB News, Talk TV ... he would regard anyone who does any of those things 'thick' or 'idiots'. :rolleyes:

Mick Lynch must be such a disappointment to JOB. A fully fledged Brexiteer.

I think the irony is that James wouldn't like many of the working classes he claims to champion if he actually met any. ;)
 
On the other side they were wondering if Eddie Mair had finished his programmes with LBC, until Ben Kentish confirmed he had. If they remembered when he left the PM programme on R4 he actually left a few days earlier than was expected because he didn't want the fuss of 'goodbyes'. Obviously he did something similar at LBC.
 
Camilla, Andrew P & Eddie all gone at the same time. I wonder who they will get in as replacements, took them ages to hire Sangita as the full-time Maajid replacement. Obviously Tom is the next drive host but someone has to do 10pm.
