Ian Payne said he was taking over from Tom from next week.
I'm not sure if that's for a few weeks until September or for good? Id assume they'd want someone more serious for that slot.

Ian Payne is ok for a fill in slot at 10pm, but hopefully not permanently. Hoping Ben Kentish get the 10pm from Sept.
I didn’t realise that Ian was confirmed as the new 10pm presenter, I presumed he was covering until early Sept when the permanent replacement (hopefully Ben K) starts.I like Ian Payne but I was surprised he was given the 10pm -1pm slot permanently too. It's quite a prestigious slot really. I thought it was going to be Ben Kentish.
Ian is LBC's go-to guy for standing in, any time of the day or night.Ian Payne just said he is doing this slot 10pm to 1am, for the next few weeks or months and he didn't really know how long it would be for.
It feels like he got it by default. Going from crisis to crisis must make it hard to decide on the direction of stations like LBC .Ian Payne just said he is doing this slot 10pm to 1am, for the next few weeks or months and he didn't really know how long it would be for.
Has Steve said why he's not in on Friday? He usually talks about hospital appointments, but I don't think he's said anything this week. Richard Spurr's pencilled in to do Friday as well as 4-7am at weekend. I wonder if they've split that slot into 3 days/4 days. I can't imagine Steve being happy about that.
At least with all the chopping and changing Global haven't given ghastly Matthew Wright a permanent job.
He had a show on LBC many years ago. He was shouty and cut off anybody who didn't agree with him. I gave him a listen when he turned up recently but he doesn't seem to have changed. Why don't you like Matthew Wright? I don't think he's the worst. Although, I don't 'get' this pony-tail thing, that's creepy as hell.
He said this morning it's something to do with driving but then went off on a tangent about a train strike, sounded like he has to do one of those awareness courses to me.Has Steve said why he's not in on Friday?
