Jobbo is the perpetual sixth-form angry bore who can't get a girlfriend but insists he hasn't got time for a gf and has more important things on his mind, then goes home and cries himself to sleep because no one likes him.

James is no journalist, he's a coloumnist ... big difference. I'd say about 75 percent of people on this site could do a better job on a paper than him. As for his peformative hatred of The Tories ... well, it's because he is one ... deep down.
 
This afternoon somebody rang James, saying she would like to vote Labour, but doesn't know what their policies are. J O'B said politicians don't normally tell you their policies two years before an election. She went on to say that she must know how they stand on various areas before giving them her vote. Towards the end of the conversation James did agree that people should know!

I heard that call.

Specific policies maybe not but you should have a general idea of what a party stands for or what direction they would likely go in. I have no clue what they think about anything tbh.

James and Shelagh also talking about Sir Keir and I think it's right that the man has zero charisma. He's like a male Theresa May.

I like the Andrew Marr/ Iain Dale pairing we got last night.

I can well imagine them saying, they will halve income tax. Double the pension!! Oh, and give J O'B a Knighthood !!!!!! LOL

I missed the pairing show. I will have to try and listen on Catch-up.

It must have been quite frustrating for James O'Brien who has spent years working his way up to fourth reserve for such events at LBC and finding himself pushed back down to fifth reserve.

The ego's at play in the broadcast media never fail to amuse me. There's a definite deep-seated insecurity and low self-esteem issue at play with most of these people, it's what drives them. O'Brien is right up there for me. It's not a criticism, not at all, I just find it quite fascinating. Job reminds me of Jeremy Kyle ... just comes across as very angry and agressive all the time, I think that's why he's 'fifth reserve' as you put it. It's a shame he comes across as so abrasive, maybe it's just his radio persona I don't know.
