Yes it was an apple a day keeps the doctor away in my family too. Toffee apples were for days out at say a funfair or similar.

I've never liked toffee apples.

Nick Abbot gets some nutters calling in. Who was the Scouse lady banging on about getting her front door kicked in? How on earth dod the producer put her through?

She hadn't upset Shelagh had she?

James sounds increasingly desperate on the subject of Brexit. Will he still be going on about it in a decade?

He is like a record that has got stuck.

Haha. I am surprised he hasn't caught Covid yet. Even a few months back when Richmond and Twickenham had some of the highest numbers of cases of Covid in London, he still avoided it despite going on the bus here, there and everywhere. He's teflon haha.
He said last week that he glares at anyone trying to sit near him on the bus 😁
Spreads out & places his bags on seats.

The lies have came thick & fast from Boris, blabbering on in Parliament today about 40 new hospitals being built, victory over covid
Johnson has taken the UK public for fools.
It was good to hear Theresa May speak, I doubt we'd have over 150,000 deaths from covid had she still been in charge.
The 5th richest country in the world, we are an island for christ sake and the clown couldn't keep us safe.
4 people, friends of mine died of covid, my mate's dad, an ex-work mate, one friend had to watch his wife of 60 yrs pass away through a screen/window in hospital :(
Get lost Johnson you narcissist.

I think when you lose the support of Tories like Iain Dale and Andrew Pierce you know you're in trouble. They keep going on about red wall voters but while they're trying to retain them, they're losing their core.

He’s awful.

He’s so self-serving. He just wants to be popular, that’s what guides him. He’s not a real Conservative. He’s not what voters who voted for him wanted in any way. He has no guiding vision. Someone on Talk Radio yesterday was saying that he looks like a man who wants to have been Prime Minister which is pretty accurate I think.

I am already sick of the current party tag lines being trotted out: “Getting on with the job” (doing what exactly? More random environmental dictats from the mouth of Princess Nut Nuts???) and “Well we all broke the rules didn’t we.” That last one is so incredibly offensive. No we all bloody didn’t, stop projecting you utter twats.

I want him to go. I want someone with a plan and a vision who believes in what I believe in. It’s depressing having him hanging around and I sincerely hope whatever happens that this party gate thing attaches to him for the rest of his political career and doesn’t let go.

Now I sound like bloody James O’Brien who I totally despise. BJ has officially done my head in.

And I am in no way a Labour supporter.

I was listening to James O'Brien this morning and I have to say I thought he did a great job today. He asked for Conservatives to phone in with their opinions of Boris and every caller he had on was articulate and sensible. The first two in particular, a guy called Alex and another who had been a Tory councillor summed up exactly how I feel, which is the same as you @Lady_H.

That sounds interesting actually. I was thinking he’d be unbearably smug and sanctimonious so didn’t bother. I might have a listen as feel pretty despondent right now and it would be nice to hear from some like minded folk.

As much as I really really don’t want Labour in I am beginning to think that maybe we should all suffer through that because it might just ignite a conversation to get back to the basics of what conservatism is actually meant to be.

It was a decent listen. There was one caller who was smug and all 'Tory voters they brought it on themselves' (James didn't rise to it) but the rest were really good.

It was the first two hours but James spent 10 -1040 replaying Sir Kier's speech and Nadine Dorries being embarrassing with Krishnan Guru Murthy

It sounds like whoever is leaking these wrong doings by Boris and the Tory's is certainly hitting the mark. In my experience it's rarely as simple as exposing just plain right or wrong though, no matter how gross the extremes. There always an ulterior motive.

Someone wants to take the government down and is probably supporting it with a high degree of finance. The most likely cause? The multi millionaire globalist remainer element of course, with names like Michael Heseltine, Andrew Adonis and Gina Miller my view.

Although I'm no fan of Boris and never was I'm actually hoping he might survive all this somehow just to spite them and I always used to be pro EU up until about 2012.

This thread seems to be suffering the same fate as the LBC forum on Digital Spy and turning into a political discussion thread.

Quite right. Let's go back to Steve Allen interviewing Julie Andrews.

He was saying the other day that when him and producer Amanda went out to interview her the film company paid for everything and he was saying what a nice hotel they were stayed at. I can't imagine what these companies must pay in promotion.

Just heard there is a RAJAR release this morning.

Dec. 2021 LBC over the UK 2611,000 (half yearly report)
LBC in London 1452,000 (quarterly report)

Sept 2021 LBC over the UK 2568,000
LBC in London 1565,000

Sorry I am a bit rushed at the moment, but when you hear the figures being given out on air, they will only mention the national figures and not the London ones that have dropped slightly!
