A few years ago when a new club opened here they had Mario Lopez ( from saved by the bell if anyone remembers that) come as the 'celeb'. A few of my friends went along to see him and apparently he was hopeless, just stood there with a drink in his hand, not saying a word. I guess the club didn't care as he had probably got people in the door but they certainly didn't get much for their money. Oh and the club closed a few months later as nobody ever went there again!

You will get one if you pay but you might not get the meds you want off of a private script because a lot of them can’t be prescribed to children or are not really that safe to take unmonitored or know whether they are useful. They aren’t just a reason to take them to help you learn how to make better life choices no med can do that! ADHD is not something you can never learn to manage, you can.

I see some of my own traits in my child’s behaviours but then I am the mother so it’s going to be that I am similar in some ways. mostly that I can be a bit chaotic in my thoughts and rush things.

My child found it impossible to contain anger for a long time and would get very angry about very small things and lash out. Then feel bad and not know why they did it. They could not sit still or sit down for long and if they were made to sit down or still would chew and bite things, even clothing so would ruin all her blazers shirts and jumpers and books and pens through biting them. This started very early in life, a toddler and until she was 16 years old when she started to mature. She also couldn’t stop herself shouting things out or saying things in her head out loud. She went through this anger management workshop in school which helped her focus her feelings and attention because she would tell Me her head was just a jumbled up mess of thoughts and words and she didn’t know how to organise them into making sense. She would get to a class with all the best intentions and then after 10 mins would be fiddling and squirming and looking around then get told off then not be able to concentrate and the more stressed she felt and under pressure the more it would build up and she would explode. I picked her up from school every day she would cry in frustration. She could never make sense of anything apart from maths and spent 3 years of school on daily report which made her miserable but was the only solution to keep her in line, and focused on an end goal of getting through school and learning how to manage her emotions and behaviour

basically a diagnosis seems to unlock doors to excuses and to cover up their bad choices and people now misuse it instead of using it to get help and understanding and make progress

Remember H was in a club in Turkey dancing on a bar, didn't look supervised and even if he was, its dangerous for someone with sight problems

Sorry about the rant but I feel so strongly about this an ADHD nurse actually confided in me and said that out of all the 250 kids she had under her about half a dozen had serious issues and ADHD is actually an umbrella in which many things are involved but all of the kids I worked with were from single parent families with a history of claiming benefits the mother never working, other family members not working, no rules or boundaries then when mum eventually got pissed off they would have a screaming swearing rant which obviously had no effect, then in all seriousness they would ask me why their child used such bad language because “ they never hear that at home “ you couldn’t make it up.

I totally agree with everything you have said. It is so easy nowadays ( or here in the US anyway) for parents to get their kids labeled as ADHD and put on medication to control them. The local pharmacies here continuously run out of the ADHD medication because there are so many kids on it! Many years ago (fortunately before ADHD became 'fashionable') my youngest son was very over active and could be naughty and one of his teachers told me he needed to see a doctor about it. I spoke to my pediatrician and he just said 'he's a 6 year old boy doing what 6 year old boys do' and he was totally right! We got him into sport and worked with him about what was appropriate behavior and his behavior improved. That's not to say he didn't have the odd moment of course! He is now a doctor. My other son is going through a similar thing with his youngest daughter, her school want to say she has ADHD but she just needs guidance. My son isn't a bad or lazy parent but he and his wife are inclined to let the children be a little 'free range' for my liking and do what they like at times which I think is part of the problem. When I look after her and give her rules ( such as not climbing on the furniture, not shouting indoors etc) she is perfectly capable of doing it so clearly not genuinely ADHD. I do hope that they don't end up medicating her rather than modifying her behavior. I know that's not the case with every child diagnosed with ADHD of course but as you so rightly say a lot of times it is just used as an excuse rather than actually doing something to improve their behavior.

But H is not as "blind" as skanky says he is, likewise his Prada Willie's (as she told Nige the other day). There again one should also wonder how good his supervision is with that carer woman who's more intent on her ruddy phone than what her Charge is doing.

My ex partners son is blind and high on the autistic scale ... he was taught to use a cane by the blind school at 10 ... Harvey is probably registered blind BUT is partially sighted ... blind with no optic nerves sounds so much more dramatic and sells more papers. he has also been infantilised by Kipper & co because its sells better in the media, at least Harvey is being taught to live a more independent life now by the college (shopping, cooking etc), if he was blind he would have learned how to use a cane, at least have tried it ... but ... there is not a single picture of him with one

My grandson is allowed to rule the roost by his mother and he's a right little whatsname too. Now she's waiting for him to be diagnosed with whatever so he can be given the excuse for his appalling behaviour, plus the school will push for and get extra funding for having him. It's not right at all is it?

Think this has all been covered already. Bloke in white sitting next to her is Andrew Chatters, He owned a place in Turkey where they all went to stay. He is also a serial criminal. She was off her face on drugs & drink (clearly can see that & she's got no pants on). Chatters was doing building work at MM & staying there. Supposedly she had a 'dabble' with him, but was also seeing Drury (Goodger's ex) who is sitting other side of her in the picture. This picture was taken on way to airport. I think if the truth came out, they were all 'banging' her. She was so off her face, she wouldn't probably remember. Take into account too, Harvey, Bunny & Junior were also taken to Turkey with this bunch of men, that they never knew. What sort of risk did she take there.? I've also always wondered WHO was seeing to the kids during these times? She was totally wasted during the day & can only imagine what sort of state in the evenings. God, what the kids have seen & heard - all of them.
When they came back from Turkey, something happened, Chatters disappeared. The police were certainly looking for Chatters for some other offences. KFP then accused him of stealing from her. Wrong person to cross really. Then Drury also disappeared off the scene, into the arms of Lauren.
In lot's of ways, Chatters would have been an ideal match for KFP - Both ruthless con artists.
