Or do people think they were at that church daily for the last week or two on the off chance it was happening that day?! Come off it.
Those children didn't need to be photographed. There are a number of celebs whose children are never seen in the press, why wasn't she similarly protecting her kids?
She could quite easily have requested a private funeral and then held a public memorial in a few months. Although tbh she's probably hoping to have a new bloke under soft launch by then, so a memorial might cramp her style.

This 'media event' as you put it really puts into focus how people work the press for their own ends. It's quite sickening. I'd even say Kate isn't the worst offender here, at least she had a legitimate reason to be there. Sometimes I think we're all in our own little Tattle bubble insofar as some of the high-profile people who attended believe that the great unwashed (us) believe Kate is a Saint and it looks good for them.

"Kate Garraway is set to work on Monday for an emotional interview on GMB just three days after her beloved husband Derek's funeral.
The Good Morning Britain host, 56, will give a live interview to the show from her house before rejoining her co-host Ben Shephard later in the week.
The heartbroken mother, whose husband passed away last month following a battle with long-Covid, reportedly told friends she desires to keep busy and absorb herself in work as she continues to grieve.
A source told The Sun: 'Kate has had an incredibly rough past couple of months, and it has taken its toll mentally and physically.
'But she is a workhorse, and journalism, being on live TV, runs through her blood — it's what she knows and loves."

ETA: It's headed as "BREAKING NEWS", as we all know, there's absolutely nothing more important going on in the world right now 🤷‍♀️

A live interview? Oh please 🙄. I love how they’re painting her as some sort of saint returning to work three days after the funeral as if the general public get weeks of compassionate leave after a funeral.
