She’s younger than Kat but I love the content from @charityshopgirlcsg. She’s got a great, consistent account.
Without their loyal followers they would have no engagement and so would be of no interest to brands.
A mention of the kids!! Obviously along with friends and wine..
Dress Like a Mum is the sequin one!I used to follow The Silver Kat years ago and just looked again and wow her photos have gotten so profesh! I refollowed to see how that goes.
I used to follow loads back then but I've forgotten half of them. Only one I miss and I can't remember her name or account - she worked in an office and took photos in her garden every day. All work clothes mostly but jeans and trainers the rest of the time. I liked her. No drama and wearable clothes. Was she schoolgatestyle or something? Maybe not. It was back in my Mumsnet years.
But then MN started a war against mum bloggers basically (anyone remember that? Kat came on to defend herself) and I unfollowed virtually all of them. Sure some of them were full of gifted stuff and some were (and are still) very performative - who is that one who dresses like she's going to Glastonbury every day and takes photos of herself wearing hot pink sequins on the seafront in Brighton or wherever? Nah, not for me!
But now I basically just follow YStyleIreland who is great for discount codes and very chill and doesn't do campaigns. But I miss getting inspo from other people my own age.
school gate style changed their name to AvrilKeysblog on insta. Still very down to earth. less fashion now as she’s working full time but I like following her nonetheless.I used to follow The Silver Kat years ago and just looked again and wow her photos have gotten so profesh! Oh memory lane!
Poppy style came back to the U.K. didn’t she?
Wearsmymoney was better in the days when she worked at Warner, but I don’t mind her. I think she’s become quite conservative in the last few years.
Dress like a Mum was more Dress like a Wally in my eyesbut to each their own.
Avril always seemed nice and normal.
Yes, I remember when the MN tide turned. Interesting how they were all go to outfit inspiration. Remember when M&S did a show collab with them all?
Yes! Lived in the north, big house that backed onto a golf course. She was married to an ex football manager and they moved to an enormous house which there was a bit of backlash for and then disappeared. I guess around the time people became wise to the fact people were using instagram to burgle you!
She seemed pretty down to earth, but they were obviously minted.
Or that was another one
