Yep I think spending a little, a lot or a ton on a wedding is all ok and never has much of a bearing on the wedding day enjoyment itself.

but it is weird to justify your choices to your following. Hardly the behaviour of someone who is fully content in their choices.

my wedding is middle of the road budget-wise and that suits me. Some of my friends spent a small fortune and that suited them. Neither of us went on our instagrams to justify our choices though, and none of us judged weddings we were invited to.
