my eyesight is shot. What am I meant to be seeing here?

It says truth on his ring.

Something that has been bugging me with regard to the changes to her story (& that of Whitney) from the London trial, does anyone think that his team could push for perjury charges?

No, because its a civil case I understand. There was a chat outside court in one of the breaks asking the same. Edit: Sorry just reread your q, I don't know if that relates to the London case too.

It is strange as he seemed more settled with Vanessa & I think his drinking & drugs got out of control with AH which isn't surprising with what we have learned. But yeah still begs the Q why the hell he married her?

There's a quote from Depp highlighted in this article about love/marriage.

Was it a combo of her love bombing him so successfully & him thinking with his dick & his ego?
Did she maybe give him a private ultimatum & he didn't want to lose her?
Strange.
Rewatching parts of Johnny's testimony he said he had 'lost Vanessa' and so was really keen to make the relationship with Turd work. I think Turd represented a romantic adventure to him at first, reinforced by her love bombing and her mirroring his hopes, dreams and passions. Then when the relationship descended into drama, chaos, and abuse (Turd admits she goes trailer park) it brought back all the unresolved trauma from his mother's abuse. I think Johnny is the one with PTSD. I imagine Vanessa is horrified that Johnny is going through all this and the psychiatrist alluded to Johnny's anger with Vanessa that she was rightly not keen for the kids to be in contact with Turd initially. Vanessa has moved on and seems very happy and content with her husband. I hope that Johnny's kids continue to have a good relationship with him. It's entirely possible he can add to his acting legacy beyond Jack Sparrow in the next decade or two. Personally I don't think POC would work without him - he'll always be JS whether in the film or not.

Agreed. (y) Also this body language expert uses a computer graphic showing Whitney's testimony compared to Ambers & how different the sisters stories are. It won't happen but the jury should be shown this.

Re-posting my earlier post as I thought rebuttal was witnesses only but it can also include evidence not already submitted. OK this isn't 'evidence' as such but seeing as Whitney is the only witness that could hurt his case by virtue of being the only one to testify that she saw him hit her, if the jury can't be shown this video (which highlights side by side the lies/changing stories of both Whitney & Amber) then I hope his team have seen it & can do something similar during rebuttal to prove they both lied.

BiB: Indeed, part of her love bombing was no doubt lots of mirroring, pretending to be his soul mate, liking the same things and sharing the same interests, a dream girl, like Johnny said: too good to be true.
Runkle on his live stream just talked about how he noticed how people all said what draw them to Amber were their shared interests, that Amber liked the same things. But the things they liked were very different and sometimes contradictory. So, she mirrored everyone to draw them close, she is a master manipulator.

humans do lie but… how would you know as a dispatcher if someone was lying about rape?

3% falsehood is roundabout the general false reporting for crime - so it’s consistent with other crimes. The studies have been consistent, impartial and thorough in coming to this conclusion. Established agencies and charities such as Rape Crisis and the CPS also concur with this statistic.
academia also tends to agree with those figures and is agreement that “women lie about being raped a lot” is a myth.

In other words… the evidence overwhelmingly points towards the reality that actually.. women lying about being raped doesn’t happen that often.
Gack! I did not specify rape at all! I should have been more clear; I was referring to arguments/fights in general including some DV calls. I would find out that the initial reporting party was not being truthful when the call/investigation was cleared, based on the disposition of the call. Sometimes the reporting party would be the person who was arrested. We also maintained a bulletin of calls/dispositions, beonthelookouts and other important information to facilitate with briefing. I should also be clear that a dispatcher speaks to many reporting parties whose calls for service are cleared without a report, (perhaps they lied, were mistaken or did not understand the law) and so the subjects of those calls would not be included in any meaningful crime statistics. To be very clear, I am not perpetuating the myth that women lie about rape, far from it. Your point about confusion over consent in the majority of rape cases was an important one. I have no intention of undermining the veracity of people reporting crimes against persons-they deserve a fair, serious and thorough investigation. A dispatcher must take every caller seriously, and treat them with respect; it is the responding officer who must make the important determinations. Please note, I questioned the 3% statistic, not the rest of your post and I added that humans lie, especially spiteful ones (thankfully most spiteful people are not vindictive/stupid enough to file a false police report)

I agree. (y) It could explain why she has lost some friends who were once close?! :sneaky:
They got to see her when the mask slipped.

#TeamDepp are too confident.

Everybody is wittering about Adam Waldman, and how Depp being recalled to the stand is about Heard's counter-claim. Oh they might ask a few questions about Mr Waldman.... but Heard's team know they are never going to swing a jury on that. But they also know that Depp will have spent the weekend prepping for Elaine's clumsy attempts, or Rottenborn's aggressve style, at finding a way around attorney client privilege.

Mr Depp needs to go into court, with a pocket knife (something small and inoffensive, for cutting cigars), it needs to have a black handle, and look as unlike the knife on the bed as it is possible to get. Preferably that knife needs to set off a metal detector in the courthouse, he needs to express surprise, "that it has never done that before." Apologise, and he needs to give the knife to a court security guard.

Because if they do bring in the knife on the bed into court, and pin him to it.... he is done. Even the slightest whiff that could be his will damage his credibility. Not only in this trial, but leave him open to a lifetime of litigation: and possible criminal charges for rape.

That knife places him at the scene, at the time: and at the very least Heard's lawyers are going to say that it was Mr Depp who prised the bed-frame with the knife and caused the damage - as demonstrated in Law and Lumber's video.

The Waldman thing is pure theatre and distraction. The only reason the judge hasn't completely dismissed the counterclaim is because it offers Amber grounds for appeal.

Whitney did not say he always carried a pocket knife for no reason.

For let's not forget, if her sister faces perjury charges, she does too - something Amber will no doubt have emphasised: and may explain the scratches on Amber's face and Whitney setting in the court with a face of thunder; at having once more been forced to do her sister's dirty-work.

We shall see....

Nope, if misheard used gloves to utilize the knife to damage the bed, there will be smudgies. If it was Depp's knife, fingerprints would be expected. DNA will not come into play at this point in a civil case, besides, they both shared the bed, so DNA result would establish nothing. Misheard has shown zero respect for Depp's personal space or possessions, I just don't see how the ownership of said pocket knife would be meaningful.

BTW, the scratch on misheards's face look like her baby needs a nail trim, nothing more nefarious than that.

What else have they got?

And Whitney was not asked the question about what Johnny always carries, just to unset non-smokers.

Think OJ's glove....

And DNA doesn't matter.... because it is balance of probably.

So far the evidence they have is a picture of some hair, some pictures of her face, and an account of a concussion check over the phone. But that knife might mean that on the balance of probably a reasonable juror might think he was at least there.

No make up. No bruise. Her recovery just one day later is amazing. :sneaky:
Not to mention gone is her 'oh look at me the poor victim, look at my face, can I look anymore miserable' FFS. 🤬
I used to read ONTD a lot back when those photos/their divorce happened and I remember the mass cognitive dissonance in the comments with these photos - saying it’s the lighting, the bruises are still there if you squint/or have been photoshopped as part of a conspiracy, or it being makeup covering it all while calling anyone who didn’t believe Amber scum, etc etc. I don’t care for either but I remember rethinking believing her at the time. I don’t know how anyone can see these now and look at the rest of the evidence, especially the tapes, and believe her 100%.

both the Home ffice and the Ministey of Justice have conducted studies into rapes and false reporting. The Home Office study was one of the largest and most comprehensive studies ever conducted on the issue, and concluded 3% of rape cases in England and Wales probably involved false allegation.

a CPS report in 2013 concluded that ~0.6% of rape convictions were false allegations.

im not arguing about what Amber Heard is or isn’t, I just get fed up seeing the old tired horse that is “tons of women lie about being raped” dragged out of its tomb to be beaten

Every 3 days a woman is murdered in the UK as a result of femicide. Statistically a woman is assaulted approx 37 times before she calls the police for the first time.
Male IPV is endemic across the world.

Violence against men does happen but it is nowhere near the same prevalence.
That doesn’t mean it’s not as important or those that suffer from it don’t deserve support. Currently we’re rolling out an IDVA service especially for male victims, which I’m very proud of.

The worse thing that AH has done is bring to the forefront the pile of steaming tit narrative that women lie, (they do but it is relatively rare as your correct statistics demonstrate), resulting in hundreds of women who will now not disclose because they fear being believed. That’s what abusers do, they make you believe that no one will believe you - that’s why so many womens organizations have pushed the agenda of encouraging society to believe women. To make it safe for them to disclose - then of course it should be followed by due diligence.

Rape and dv cases rarely make it to court there’s not many benefits to a woman reporting.

It says truth on his ring.

In his handwriting. I was trying to point out the similarities between the handwriting on the ring and the handwriting on the mirror/counter (because people had been discussing whether or not he actually wrote those messages), as opposed to just showing one of his many rings. 😂 @LydiaDeetzHat

To my mind it’s not just that AH has done this (although that is a bleeping disgrace), it’s that certain elements of the MSM have made it so much worse by supporting her in doing it.

If you were a woman currently being abused who knew little about the case but read the Guardian, NYT, Vogue etc, you would see AH as woman whose brutal assault by a “powerful man” had been disbelieved and then mocked because society and the legal system hate women. And yes, you would be terrified to disclose.

People like Gaby Hinsliff in the Guardian see nothing but misogyny in people who don’t support AH. Gaby’s entire worldview is based on seeing women as victims, always believing women, and from her perspective the only reason someone wouldn’t is that they hate all women. It is a really twisted philosophy. I’m sure she would happily use quotes from these threads as evidence of that apparent deep-seated misogyny!

These “journalists” could have reported on this very differently, and broadened the discussion around IPV and bringing these cases to court in all sorts of interesting ways. They have failed women by choosing to pursue an agenda rather than just reporting the case. If in fact there are hundreds of women who will now not disclose because they fear being believed, that’s very much on them.

That would be changing their story though, wouldn't it? Didn't she say he kicked the bed, or his foot/boot did the damage when he was attacking her. Would the risk another change to another story?? Or they may just be trying to say that it's simply JDs knife and nothing to do with the damage to the bed.
