I would just ignore the request. What reason could they have to need to follow you? If they need more info regarding your complaint they can just message you.

I’ve just been added to their “close friends” list as I do still follow them and was really happy with how they handled my messages......hope they don’t think I’ll be their next influencer, I couldn’t influence anyone to use an umbrella in the rain
