I was listening to 5 Live earlier, they were talking about coat banks, with people who started them in Edinburgh and Hartlepool, endeavours that were started organically by local people who saw the need, got coats to those who needed them and it grew from there.

I couldn't help but think how this contrasts with repulsive GOBs Christmas project which focuses only on herself, what she buys and what she can sell to you. Boasting about buying a £395 coat sold by a company that uses real fur (not on the coat she bought, but in their range).

How hard would it be for her to mention local charities, or include a donation link on her vlogs? She simply wouldn't think of it. Oh no, that would divert funds that might be spent via the #affiliate links she punts and profits from on a daily basis.

Let's not be surprised if, after reading here, she suddenly gives lip service to a charity, eg turning up at an event at House of St Barnabas or bundling up a binbag of stuff and twirling with it down Marylebone High Street before dumping outside a charity shop. If she thinks doing this will show her in a good light she'll be right on it and her poor stans will tell her how good and kind she is.

She's not been vlogmassin' daily, five episodes in the last 8 days so far. But apparently she's been postin' and deletin'. Did anyone see the disappearing ep? Wonder why she took it down.

And she's got a freebie coffee on offer, she doesn't do dating apps, wonder what she thinks about Colin's approach.

Hello all 👋 I have managed to avoid watching any of Jo's videos for months, but after youtube pushing them onto me all the time I finally caved and watched the oatly vid and her what I eat in the day vlogmas. The irony of watching those 2 back to back..Jo going on and on about how she doesn't drink dairy only for it to be followed by another video where she is making her coffee with skimmed milk.

Same interests as her? What, looking in mirrors, playing with his hair, flogging anything online for dosh, only interested in himself, and likes designer labels, particular if they hark back to his heyday?

Ooooh Get your (hideous fur) coat MAM, you've pulled! Colin wants to take her out for a cappuccino.

Winter jaunt to her favourite hotel. She got upgraded to a suite. But not an ad or sponsored.

Used Mantle products. She’s going to leave a link. But not an ad or sponsored.

Used Beauty Pie skincare (what happened to Paula’s Choice or Chantecaille?) Here’s my code. But not as ad or sponsored.

She just doesn’t see she is doing anything wrong by promoting stuff and places and not declaring it.

Her stay (she paid something but not for a suite) was a gift to herself. Like she always withholds the treats from herself. Her life is one of gifts and grifts.

She mentions that people normally go to the hotel for sex. She used to go there with her married boyfriend. She later referred to him as her partner. He wasn’t her partner,he was somebody else’s. She just doesn’t do inconvenient details like the truth or it’s an ad.

Interesting to see news stories about the Beeb pulling up Alex Scott over her promoting Reiss on her Insta. She is a Reiss brand ambassador apparently. Not sure if she had been mentioning them on the Beebs socials, or just on her personal one.

GOB has long said she can get way with a lot on air as the suits don't pay much attention to local radio, especially at the time she is on. Now that this issue has been flagged at a different level I wonder if they wil draw attenion to the social media policy for presenters.

Not defending MAM at all, and you are right to pull this in to question. But, could the difference be that MAM is a freelancer and Alex Scott is an official employee? Perhaps that also might be why MAM isn't listed on the salary disclosure list, but Vanessa was. Perhaps the terms of hiring are different for 'in house' staff, stricter terms relating to social media. I am 90% sure MAM is freelance, as she says she is hanging on by a thread, and it is difficult to dismiss an official employee.

Isn’t the salary disclosure the top ones though. Vanessa was one of the highest paid BBC employees. GOB is not in the same league, small fry.

Hmm interesting point re employee/freelancer. Still it would be hard to imagine being a freelancer would allow a presenter to get away with straight-upcommercial plugs via the Beeb. MAM is being shady, she is not advertising the brands directly on air (despite the fact reps from a few of her side-hustle brands appear on the show as guests) but she's using the BBC airwaves to direct listeners to her ad-heavy social posts. I'm sure GOB is trying to convince herself (or tells the bosses) that she only mentions her socials as an aside, because listeners like to see pics of her, dog, her mum, London etc. She would evade the fact that most of her posts contain ads or promos of some type.

Yes, only those who earn over £150,000 are included in the BBC salaries report. Vanessa was in the £400,000 - £404,995 band, she did both the R2 and BBC Radio London shows.

I didn't know she did Radio 2 as well, quite the gamble giving up that gig for Talk Radio!

Vanessa did Radio 2 for years, starting at 3.30am, then went straight to BBC RL Breakfast show at 7am until 10am. V is also in her sixites now, I never once heard her complain about her work load or mention on air that she was tired. Only when she annouced she was leaving did she say "...After years of 3.30 am starts I’ll have a show without an alarm clock involved".

When V didn't like it any more she didn't get on air and diss her employer, she simply upped and left, which is what anybody does when they're no longer satisfied with the terms of their employment. Unlike GOB who stays, seeking sympathy for showing up for her gruelling roster of 15 hours on-air per week, with a cab ride home, less than a mile from work.

She also used to go from RL to This Morning as an agony aunt.

That's a rather strong work ethic.

With regards to MAM, strolling in to work at half 8 and being done by 1.15 would be perfect for me, as I am a night owl. I wonder if a taxi provided both ways and a small pay rise would appease her.

I could not be bothered staying in a hotel for one night by the time you check in (usually mid afternoon) it will be time to check out again (mid morning) surely she could stretch to two nights if she did not spend so much on clothes.
Agree, one night at a hotel is not at all relaxing, only good for flopping after a wedding nearby or being near an airport for an early flight (and yes for sexy time as GOB apparently mentioned).
