I never understand why when someone works in healthcare (has experience) and makes any comments that 'fans' don't like, fans get upset? Why?
I think this comment is actually very caring.
Jenny doesn't appear to try to be active. Jenny is on oxygen which would allow her to walk around her home.
Sitting too long will cause muscle wastage and yes, blood clots can form.

I know this is unpopular but I think Jenny sat around expecting everybody to wait on her when she was relatively well and as you said she needs to move around to prevent blood clots and muscle wastage.

So keeping with I always get my test results and scrutinize the Hell out of them. I had a recent abdominal ultrasound and the report had 3 lines about the state of my gallbladder that was actually removed 7 years ago. I told them either fix the report or give me back the money I spent on the removal. I was actually hoping it grew back and I could get a side gig growing organs and donating them

Then my latest CT colon cancer showed a previous heart attack and severe blockage of my aortailiac arteries. I took it to my cardiologist and said this ain't right. She did a nuclear stress test, and echo cardiogram and a specialized abd ultrasound and nopers....no previous heart attack and no blockage.

The tests are often read by computer programs with canned responses. You can't trust anything not even test results. Don't even get me started about specimen handing at LabCorp!
I've never had anything that weird on reports but certainly have had things that make me go hmmmm. Can a gallbladder actually grow back? I'm certain there is someone on here that would look it up. My gallbladder gave me so much grief l hope it won't ever grow back!!! I do find it midly amusing that throughout the years every time my Daughter goes to the GP and they look in her mouth/throat they comment that her "tonsils look fine" you mean the ones she had at at 4yrs old. After about 10yrs of this l took her to the ENT again just to be certain they hadn't grown back, definitely no tonsils insitu 🤷‍♀️

i agree of course if she can good idea to move...however as some of us keep saying we just don't know how much she is moving. We see a snippet of a few days. I am sure they are aware of blood clot dangers.

Whilst my heart goes out to Jenny and her loved-ones, im really not 'down' with the idea of her putting her graphic struggles with terminal cancer online. WHY is she choosing to do this? Its intrusive , to her - AND to her family who no doubt have no option but to go along with it. Also, sadly her story is not unusual - most of us have/ had/lost/a loved one with/to cancer. I've actually stopped looking at her content. I've already witnessed this stuff when my own beautiful sister - no less precious or 'important ' than Jenny, fought a 4 year Trojan battle with cancer and died a horrible death . She left two kiddies and a husband behind. My sister was humble in her suffering and until her dying moments wanted to talk a out any topic other than her cancer. She was brave , beautiful.... remarkable. I think of her daily.
Your Sister is at peace. Thankyou for sharing. 🤍

Again it's the problem that we only see what they show us but it always appears as though she expects others to run round after her from what we do see.

Yes that's why l took her back to the ENT to see if they had grown back, luckily they hadn't 👍

Mine grew back but luckily they've not caused any problems. Don't think gallbladders can grow back?

I agree. She’s absolutely correct. When you have any lung issues you need to keep moving to the best of your ability. If you don’t, you become de-conditioned, and of course increase your chance of getting blood clots. Jenny is already at an increased risk of blood clots due to having cancer, so she needs to be very careful.

I really struggled with my commute after offices opened again after working from home during covid. I have chronic lung problems and my lung function had really deteriorated. Added to that I had also become very ill and was hospitalised with pneumonia, pleurisy and unexplained blood clots in both lungs, which didn’t help matters. It’s been a long slow process to improve my breathing and stamina by very gradually increasing my movement, but there’s definitely been improvement. I know if I were to be too sedentary again I would once again deteriorate.

Any other RN's feel free to input, l would have assumed that Jenny would already be on blood thinning meds given the pulmonary issues but lm not experienced in this area.
Please excuse if lve got this wrong as l haven't seen the responses to this comment, but maybe people got annoyed about the "over medicated on dilaudid", this is the problem with sharing online, she gets hounded if she's in pain and not wanting to take pain meds, now she's as high as a kite (l would be too nobody wants to live with that amount of pain) and she's crapped on for being overly medicated so it's a no win situation for Jenny.

Tonsils can grow back
YES!!! This kinda sorta happened to my son. At age 7 he had a tonsillectomy. At age 10 his symptoms returned (even worse than before) and he had another "tonsillectomy" although it was mostly adenoid tissue that was removed, although I swear I remember the ENT surgeon also saying "some tissue had grown back." The second surgery was rougher on him than the first one.

Well done. It can't have been easy.

I agree, she’s quite right to take any pain relief she needs. Why should she be in pain if there’s a way to alleviate it?! I would take it as needed too.

The doctors wouldn’t prescribe unnecessary pain relief.
