Anyone can message a private account, even people who were not approved as a follower, so that's not the reason. He just doesn't want lurkers to lurk. Understandable.

sure, but if his account is private then perhaps fewer new people would link him to Jenny? Aren’t there any support groups that he can find in California for people who’ve lost a loved one? I can’t imagine being in his situation or the poor children.

My wife sells her hand painted rocks on Etsy, how much do you guys think it is to ship a rock? It's really not that expensive at all! Plus we're talking about people who've had no problem donating hundreds of dollars to their gofundme so that J&K could buy crap and go to Disneyland. This is a case of damned if he does, damned if he doesn't... I can't believe I'm here defending Blobby, LOL. It's a cute idea IMO. He's not asking for stuff or money, just a rock. Sure, he could have raised money for cancer research, true but not everyone who's been touched by cancer should be forced to become an activist if that's not their thing, at least let's appreciate the honesty, they've never even pretended. Look at Josh POG: Sarah died and the next day he had rebranded himself as a charity champion = not credible at all. At least this guy is not trying so hard.
Anyway, we all had predicted on here that Kyle wouldn't carry on filming consistently, and we were right. It was never his thing, he forced himself to film a bit before the trip just because he had promised Jenny that he'd try. I guess he'll come back to cry on camera every now and then just to make some easy cash but I think and hope that the weekly family vlogs are a thing of the past.
He could have asked for donations for the charity of people's choosing. If people want to donate to his Go Fund me that's great but a thank-you would have been greatly appreciated.

I like the rock idea. He's giving people a way to "do something" that's very cheap and could even be creative, if they want it to be. He also struck me as a "people pleaser" when he went into all the ways you could make the rock idea easy and cheap -- send just any rock, paint it any way you want, even just a smiley face or get your child to scribble on it, and you don't have to put anything on it at all! Just a plain rock would be fine..."

Many people with that many followers wouldn't suggest something so... cheap. They'd realize they could squeeze a whole lot more out of them. Yeah, I know the gfm is still open but at least whoever it was said it was for the family to use in getting on with their lives. And one of the gfm's was closed.

I'm still on Kyle's bandwagon. And I want him to do well so so bad - for the sake of the children, if not for him. They need him to pull it together and get back to normality.

Well, a rock garden needs large rocks, it's not like a pile of painted pebbles. And why would he want a kind of memorial garden in front of his house made by painted rocks from people who have never ever met Jenny?? These people mean nothing to him. I wouldn't want that. Probably I'd plant a tree or bush above her ashes, one with nice flowers.
I understand if he's not interested in anything related to cancer anymore. It's OK.
Poor guy, it's gonna be a hard year for him, whatever he does.

I hadn't heard about this. Northwestern Medical in Chicago is performing lung transplants on stage 4 cancer patients, if the cancer has not metastasized.
...
The transplanted lung has to originate from a healthy, deceased donor. That doesn't seem like an easy feat to accomplish, as also the tissue typing has to match. It doesn't seem like a stage 4 lung cancer patient would be at the top of a list to receive new lungs. Cystic fibrosis patients would likely always come ahead of most cancer patients because lung transplants for cystic fibrosis patients result in greater survival than do transplants for lung cancer:

Lung transplants for lung cancer:
Since 2010, the 1- and 5-year survival rates for adult lung transplantation have increased to 85% and 59%, respectively [5,6]. However, the 5-fold higher risk of developing lung malignancies post-transplantation compared to the general population and the 13-fold elevated risk of cancer development in the native lung after SLT have led to physicians' reluctance to utilize lung transplantation for lung cancer patients [[7], [8], [9], [10]]. Additionally, no prospective study has compared survival outcomes between conventional oncologic treatments and transplantation for lung cancer, nor has there been a systematic review of post-transplantation survival outcomes. As a result, lung transplantation for lung cancer has been restricted to select patients, such as those with early-stage lung cancer or histologically confirmed bronchioloalveolar carcinoma (BAC) [[11], [12], [13], [14], [15]], while stage IV lung cancer is generally considered a contraindication (Table 1 )

For lung cancer, the 2-year overall survival rate after transplant was only 20%

by J Rappaport · 2022 — Two-year overall survival after transplant diagnosis was around 20%. New cancer diagnosis after transplant portends worse prognosis. A significant portion of ...

Compare that with lung transplants for cystic fibrosis patients:
About half will survive for at least five years after having a lung transplant, with many people living for at least 10 years. There have also been cases of people living for 20 years or more after a lung transplant.

He isn't doing well at all. Nobody can save him from a nervous breakdown. It is just inevitable after the nightmare he's been through. He cannot just promise Mel not to break down. He's been keeping his feelings in check for years.

Large rocks? Not necessarily. Many small rocks will do. I mean, it's not like he said he wants a replica of the great pyramid of Giza done outside their house in Jenny's honour so please send blocks folks! 😆

People love Jenny even if they've never met her, obviously. Jenny loved the painted rock garden outside the hospital, it's a humble cheap thing to ask, if people wanna send they will.

He could have asked for donations for the charity of people's choosing. If people want to donate to his Go Fund me that's great but a thank-you would have been greatly appreciated.
He coulda he shoulda. Jenny loved the painted rocks and that's a cute idea.
The gofundme thing has nothing to do with this. 💁🏼

I listened to Kyles latest video, l hadn't realised that he really, genuinely asked for rocks to make a memorial rock garden, and he's putting up a plaque (l wouldn't do it in the front of my house though) in Jenny's memory. It sounds like a great idea, practical and people can express their condolences to Kyle and the children through the special rock they send. It's much better than cards, flowers and usless junk that they might not want or need. I'm looking forward to seeing what people send and how creative they are.

I just re-watched a couple of videos including the head shaving video with the kids (I'm going bald)... Omg this lady's comment... 😱

The Go fund me has EVERYTHING to do with it. If he didn't have the financial security from it he wouldn't be asking for painted rocks! The money he got from his followers have afforded him that freedom and he has yet to thank or acknowledge or thank them.

Ahora, can't help myself here as a retired shopkeeper- this is a marketing opportunity for your wife! Painted rocks for people who can't paint rocks but want to send one. It's a Niche Market!

The mental gymnastics... 🤦🏼 He can afford to ask for rocks because thanks to the donations he doesn't need to ask for money? But if he was asking for money you'd be roasting him, right? 😆Hey, I've been one of the biggest critics on here when it comes to how Blobby has been spending the GoFundMe money. However, I'm not on a mission to criticize at every turn.
I can't even stand the guy and here I am, defending him once again, so funny! 😅

She accepts commissions so yeah, that's part of what she does. She's even painted a few rocks for memorial gardens. Once it was for a child who had passed away, so sad. 💔

I have also been critical of Kyle, but l have empathy for him at the same time (unlike that TT). I think the painted/decorated rocks are a wonderful idea, at least people that don't want to or are against the GFM can feel like they are doing something to commemorate Jenny and acknowledge Kyles loss. I'm looking forward to seeing some of them if Kyle wants to share as lm sure there are some very creative people out there that will do some beautiful art work.

I just can’t watch Mr. Potato Head today. 🤢🤮
*Spoilers!*
Old Tattie Heed seemed to be coping significantly better in the video. He was with Jenny's brother at the event and was gifted some painted rocks by Dr Kim, one of the specialists who treated Jenny. He has been working out and is overwhelmed by the love shown to his family. He showed the back of his truck which was brimming with gifts from well-wishers. He and Ellis had picked them up from their PO Box but he hasn't had time to open them yet apparently.

I'm genuinely pleased that he seems a bit better, it's horrible to think of someone suffering ( other than a child or animal abuser - they can suffer all day long as far as I'm concerned).
