Jeans are one of the easiest items for finding high quality bargains second hand. Find a size and style you like then search for that on Vinted etc and you'll get a pair (often unworn) for likely less than £20. The most ethical shopping you can do too.

I'm intrigued to find out what this ethical and sustainable fabric she'll be using is... because super stretchy, essentially faux, jeans are gonna be full of plastic are they not...

The green washing has started 😂 It’s fast fashion Carys. Own it.

I don’t get the obsession with the level of stretch the Mom Jean. They’re not really about a stretch?
I don’t know if all the darting on the waist/rear is for small waist, big thigh girls too. If so, are there that many out there to make this project worth while? It just all seems like another half arsed Cary’s idea based on what she thinks without any research but a few insta posts.
If across the tens of thousands of products across ASOS, BooHoo etc it’s not been done, it’s because there’s no profitable market for it.

Has she addressed the failure of shittaker house yet? I bet they wasted so much money on that and I think this jeans venture is going to go a similar way 🙈

website build would have cost 8-10k alone.

Of course it will. She’s unable to focus on one thing for longer. It’s the initial excitement, money grab and then onto the next thing 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yep will be initial burst of sales. Then it will go quiet. Not like they’re going to be paying for marketing to reach new customers.

Good luck dealing with all the returns.

Ran here when I saw those market research stories... 60 effing quid for jeans?! I'd want 3 pairs for that! I get my jeans in Tesco and find them the best fit I've ever had, I think they're about £22! I can't even fathom why her options go up to £90+ does she think she's competing with bleeping Levi's or something

She thinks she can do it cause it’s «ethically produced in the EU». I don’t know if she can boast about having toxin free jeans (the colouring is the toxic part + potential treatments post production) - but Armed Angels are big on this ethical toxin free jeans ride. They start at around 70-80pound. And are an established big brand. She’s just trying to make money.

She’s off her head 😭 she can’t seriously think people would pay the same price for one of her jeans and Levi’s? Also for what it’s worth, I’ve tried on a few pairs of Levi’s (and never justified buying them), and they were not stretchy at all, probably because they were made of decent materials and not the plastic that makes ITS jeans stretchy. So it seems counterproductive…

Same, and sorry while I would love to buy all these super expensive ethical brands I just can’t afford to, not these days! I’ve always loved New Look jeans as they always fit me well if I do treat myself to a new pair and even then I hate paying £30 on some of them! I do a lot of charity shopping online and in person these days and to be honest rarely buy anything new bar underwear! It’s so much cheaper and you can get such good bargains, I’d rather do that than spend £60/£70 on a pair of jeans! And when I have a clear out I’ll then try and sell on the stuff that’s worth it so I feel at least I’m doing my bit even if it is small!

Even if people did have £60+ for jeans, who’d buy hers with no proven quality or record over an established brand.
There’s 3 reasons to spend that much, quality, unique fit or buying into the brand for status. Can she tick any of those boxes, can her “they’re so soft and stretchy” IG stories have the selling power to drive enough sales? I really doubt it. We know she doesn’t know what good quality is.
Did she not learn from the W.house shipping and returns nightmare?
It’s another vanity project, why is she being enabled?

I can also see her putting a big logo or something on them because she thinks people will want to show they are from her brand.. but its so true if youre spending that much money youre in a different wealth bracket and probably want to shop somewhere with a bit more reputation! She really needs a specific edge to make this work, like a very classic unique colour or shape.. i can just see them being like topshop jamie jeans with a big logo on the back so she has her stamp on them

It’s the arrogance to think that’s she, with no background or passion in anything relevant just the ability to buy what’s available from basic stores, has spotted a gap in the market.
It’s that Devil wears Prada ceriliun sweater monologue. The millions of dollars and countless jobs that go into deciding what’s put out but Carys thinks she knows what people want because she can’t get the exact jeans she wants to fit her body from TikTokShop 🤯

Exactly, if I was feeling mental enough to spend that kind of money on one single pair of jeans I'd want them to be sturdy, hard wearing and high quality enough that they're going to stay in shape for a long time. Like, years. "Soft, stretchy ✨vibes✨" just suggests to me that I'd be paying absurd prices for Primark quality that's gonna go baggy at the knees in a matter of weeks 🙄

Just thinking about this further there is so much that goes in to a pair of jeans that i dont think shes grasped, like the zippers need to be strong, the pockets need to be in the right place for different body shapes, the waist and hip for could be great for one and not the other. I think what she thinks will be her niche is catering to all sizes like ITS do but she will realise how expensive that is to create is sooo many sizes but if she doesnt do it then she is alienating a lot of the BoPo followers... interested to see how it plays out tbh lol

Let's be real, she's going to cater for herself- her, let's be real, slightly unusual lower body proportions. She's making herself some jeans and hoping to make a quick buck off any schmuck who she can.

I think because her in the style range sold out she assumes people like her and her style. The truth is that in the style have a large local following, not carys. These jeans are going to be the biggest flop.
