Tinned carrots in overnight oats 🤢🤢🤢
Yogurt, frozen fruit, bit of sugar/ sweetener. Takes two minutes to prepare and you don't have to wash a blender. And why pour the carrot milk into a ceramic jug then into the bowl of oats, just pour it straight in you dozy cow.

A work colleague told me about over night oats ages ago, it’s such an easy breakfast and she has just made a joke of it. I usually put oats, frozen fruit and some yogurt in a tupwerware tub and leave it. It is so nice and easy. That carrot crap is a shocker and possibly the lowest point.

I reckon the research team are looking through her books for the worst recipes they can find...there is probably a bet going on...I see your corned beef chilli and raise it carrot oats... bet you can’t get Matt to eat that!

Please can anyone confirm if she was mentioned at the end for tomorrow's show
Yeah she was. I got my hopes up when Matt said the Doctor would be back by popular demand and would be cooking with him...but then he said at the very end “Join Jack and I tomorrow for some terrible ingredient mash-ups, random things you would never have thought were fancy but Jack says they are now and another instalment of how Jack’s cooking and baking makes people fall in love”

Ok, so she was a little better today, so I guess kudos for taking on feedback where ever she is getting it from. If she'd been approached by the BBC because of all her previous work, I'd have a lot more sympathy, but I keep going back to that Twitter pile on of JO, and how that got her this, and it was just not a cool way to behave.

This is such an example of why you shouldn't give anyone something just because they stamp their feet really hard and say 'It's not ffffaaaaaaiiiirrrr'. It's not fair, you're right, but the unfairness is born of the fact that some people are good at some things and other people aren't. It's not fair that I'm never going to hold the WR for 100m sprint, but I'm no good at running and a bit fat. It was irresponsible of the BBC, both to its license fee payers, to the DK team and to Jack herself, to give her this role, particularly at this time. She's giving poor (and wrong) advice out on a BBC show designed to help people out in a tough time and it makes me cross.

There’s a book called ‘Feed your family for £20 per week’ and it’s full of great recipes we love as a family.

One of them is overnight oats with frozen fruit in it. What’s wrong with that instead of bleeping carrots?!
I’ve seen that book on over in WHSmith (prelock down) I might have a look through when we are allowed out.
I actually think she is damaging the idea of budget cooking, from watching this it appears that cheap is unappetising and tinned. This simply isn’t the case.

It’s actually really really good. As a family we have never found a cookbook that suits us but this one does, the recipes are simple things like quiches or pastas, fish and chips. But they come out so well thought out and aren’t expensive. So for jack to say she has the monopoly on budget cooking is absurd, this is way better than the slop I’ve seen served up. I’d definitely recommend giving it a go.
