Why is this woman obsessed with blended fish?

I think she thinks anchovies are somehow sophisticated and that the addition of them makes her look like she knows something about flavour.

I love anchovies (and when they're used properly there's absolutely no need to put them anywhere near a blender) but the fact she thinks they're interchangeable with sardines tells you all you need to know about all that she doesn't know. Sardines in a pasta sauce is fishy pasta, probably with some lovely bones and bits of spine in there for good measure , vs. anchovies which totally disappear and just add a salty, umami depth (although probably not in the minute quantities she uses them).

i'm vegetarian - i suppose if i blitz them they would be vegetarian-ish. good idea, i'll just nip to the corner shop for some.

I’d also like to put on record that I use nice olive oil and not some interchangeable engine oil mixed with dregs out of a tin of pilchards.

May I recommend Sheffield’s finest, if you wish to add an umami je ne c’est quoi to any vegan foodstuffs

I've just grunked the last few pages of this thread with multiple things I was going to comment. But I'm currently just thinking that pasta sauce with the onion and carrot bits would set all my sensory issues on edge.

However, I would scoff @Lazarus 's tea like a greedy goblin.

I am concerned that so many people are interacting with her on BlueSky. How are people so dumb?

Also, I wonder if guest is making the fish and curds version:

Sorry for this absolute nonsense above, my phone keeps malfunctioning today. I know perjickwt isn’t a word! I didn’t even mean to hit post on that as I hadn’t finished. Though I doubt she’s ever claimed tax credits to know how to do it anyway.

what is a Cook meal?!
Very expensive ready meals. They have their own shops but quite often they have their own concession/freezer in places middle class people mooch about.
Similar style/price as Charlie Bigham. Not bad if they have a deal on but works out pricey if you use it as a regular place to shop. The fact they are sold in Jack's nearest shop just shows the demographic of the area.

Oh duck off Jack with your saving the country tit.
Our charity gears up at Christmas but this year, we are busier than ever and it's vile. The whole thing is vile. Even if we had time to, none of our staff use it as an opportunity to fire up the virtue signaller.

You're as much use to people in actual poverty in this country as a pair of skis.

Do one.
I am cutrently working adjacent to some poverty stricken famalies. She knows zero about what some people actually live like. Her dickensian cosplay is frankly disgusting!

This is a woman who for the past 12+ years of her life has moulded an entire (lack of) personality around the wearing/not wearing and owning/not owning of dresses.

I went to one of those "by the kilo" events in Leeds when I was skint in my early 20s and they are not cheap. Those shirts must have cost a bomb ten years later in Thorpe Bay.

Can just see Captain Dave commandeering a banana boat off Famagusta to put his training into practice.

Was just mithering to myself about his idiot daughter phoning Big Toblertwat up in the middle of the night to ask about the decomp rate of all the now-DEAD corrupt 1980s American jurors he saw paragliding and jet skiing off the coast of Paphos last year, when I remembered that the first chapter of Jack’s MeMeMeMoir is already written for her.

This from @Sweetcouchpotato is one of the best things on Tattle, ever.

(Illustrated by the photographer who also did the Guardian moneybath photoshoot and who clearly bleeping loathes her).

that "by the kilo" has annoyed me since I first saw it. she wants to imply it's like, go in, choose 35 shirts, pay 12p for them. But unless - and guest in particular should be on this - the price per kilo is reasonable, it's not a bargain is it. Oh yeah I bought 97 shirts at £25 a kilo is not going to be cheap is it.

I think she namechecks anchovies because she thinks it shows she understands flavour. The fact that she thinks you can sub them for sardines shows she totally doesn’t.
Tuna also (vegan-adjacent but vegetarian always here so I don't know but I would imagine they're not the same?)

Btw the fish is optional, like everything else

The fact that this chortling buffoon thinks she's invented tomato sauce for pasta is kind of amazing really
