I....enjoy the word "filibuster" even though I'm not sure what it means
It means either a certain type of pirate activity¹ or making a long speech to waste time, prevent something else being debated or to prove a point in a legislature (mostly only the US Senate these days²). A famous one of the latter was Rand Paul rambling for 13 hours about drone strikes a while ago now.I....enjoy the word "filibuster" even though I'm not sure what it means
I guess the 21st century filibuster equivalent is sort of like Mrs Gloss having to turn off comments because Jack was deliberately being a hog so nobody else got their issues attended to. Except there's no off toggle in Parliament.I....enjoy the word "filibuster" even though I'm not sure what it means
The area of Glasgow I lived in in the mid 00s famously had a life expectancy of 59 for men. At the time, lower than the Gaza Strip. It’s a short walk to the city centre so has become weirdly partially gentrified, but still has a couple of big halfway houses filled with people who have addiction and mental health issues. Bizarre to see nice eateries and pubs pop up but still loads of people who look half deed milling around.Come on Jack, you said you wanted to visit the most deprived areas of the UK, put your money where your mouth is and come up here. This is poverty and deprivation, not what you waffle on about.

But, but she apologised to comrade Crorbyn and she got a personal twitter reply and everything so she is 100% back in with the Labour party.According to Wikipedia:
I think I can see why she was no longer a member of the Labour Party when she announced she was standing in 2017.
- Up to March 2015: Labour Party
- March 2015: Green Party
- April 2016: WEP
- 2017: Stands as candidate for NHA
I drove past the Bellgrove last Thursday night and it's gone the same way as the twins. The area of Glasgow I lived in in the mid 00s famously had a life expectancy of 59 for men. Jack will bring up syria in abour six months time, when some other world story has centre stage. Gosh do you want her to stop breathing. She is working around the clock single handly, painstakingly picking apart receipts from her last few perscriptions to come up with a way to save the NHS and you want her to stop all of this for a country in crisis. Your sooo selfish!Have we had Jack's hot take on the Syrian situation?
Jack's politics only seem to stretch to loudmouthing about Torys bad, Labour not as bad, Leninist Marxist very good (so long as Jack gets a top job in The Party with all the attendant perks.)

Talking of teef, I saw something this morning. I have never seen in my entire life, an NHS dentist with a big sign saying taking new patients!I was thinking the second one, but 3 SMEG fridges within the space of a few years! I've had mine, a b&q bargain under £100, for ten years or more. How does she go through so many high end items so quickly?
While were on about high end items, it was pointed out at the end of the last thread how many toothbrushes she had in the bathroom. But I noticed they were all manual toothbrushes. Why has she never splashed out on an OralB, or Sonicare electric toothbrush. Maybe she wouldn't have such dreadful oral hygiene, crumbly teeth and nasty gums if she invested in a more effective toothbrush...
I've written toothbrush far too many times in this post. I seem to be obsessed with teeth, what with toothpaste recommendations, and now power toothbrushes. I just value my teeth more than Jack. If it were a choice between a squatty potty and an OralB toothbrush I know which I'd choose. Jack has other priorities, obviously.
bipolar (but marinated in substances that don't go well with it) thread title nomination pretty please. Is she made of pure weapons grade asbestos?
I'm not her and I can't deal with slamming waves of mortification that engulf my very soul as I read of another stupid stunt.
To simply say you will stand as candidate for parliament even though you don't even understand the selection process, is just such a huge leap.
She can't have just forgot all if that carry on? Like, not even dropping a text to part members before you confidently announce it to the world???
And then with the "arthritis" cos she can't find a rock to crawl under.
In truth, I am getting more and more convinced of bipolar (but marinated in substances that don't go well with it) or in fact any MH input to perhaps calm the surges. Yet, I don't feel any pity for her. The son, totally, but she creates these tit shows, seemingly with clarity and then buys more tickets for the front row.
She is fascinated by herself.
But aren't all messy madams.

That's it. I'm never going to say 'filibuster' in nothing but a broad Hull accent ever again. It's when they take you round Philadelphia on a coach
Don’t worry tenderstem, Jack doesn’t know what any words mean but she uses them anyway. All words are interchangeable xI....enjoy the word "filibuster" even though I'm not sure what it means
