Cor, imagine that! Some grifter making fake poppies and probably claiming to give a percentage to a charity, I’ll bet.
I genuinely considered doing this a few years ago when I learned how to crochet and made myself one. But then I realised what I’m like and that I would have got bored really quickly, raised about a fiver and let people down. So I decided not to.
Life hack for you there Jack.

Nigella can absolutely GET FUCKED as well. (ss @kachoochoo ❤)

No Nigella (while soliciting cash into her Patreon and thus enabling her to grift tens of thousands MORE £££ from well meaning people), YOU have entirely misunderstood the nature of her work.

Wondering how guest had the nerve to also be like this:

There is a reason she is persona non grata. She did a very cruel and wicked thing over a long period of time.

I was, out of nosiness, but the recipe also sounds fab so I've printed it off. Eyethankyew!

Can't be anything to do with her daughter. There are actually reasonable calorific and nutritional values - and it only serves 3, rather than 27 dockers with the physique of yer standard XL Bully.

It also costs £16.95 in ingredients. With the suggestion of using up any leftover Cavolo Nero by only boiling it in soup for ten minutes, instead of a week and a half under the light of the Pigmy fridge bulb from the house opposite each time they open their not-SMEG up for some milk.

Yes, the Poppy Appeal is the Royal British Legion's annual fundraiser, they're the UK's largest charity supporting the armed forces.

That makes sense but Jack's response to seeing non-legion poppies doesn't. She makes wearing a fake poppy sound like a stolen valor crime.

Yeah, and her dads business is fostering.

Viner is all about the £££ she couldn’t give a fig whether the content is tit (as is apparent) it’s all for the clicks, links that earn commission and subscribers.
Ellie Mae O'Hagan (and it took me a lot of goes to post that without any swearing)
Daughter of Sean o'hagan

Adrian chiles. Husband of Katherine viner. Eta: sorry. Tattle included the abortive beginnings of a post about nepotism that I gave up on several days ago.
Not shown how to cook, she says? How about the teacher who showed her how to make a vermouth and blue cheese pasta dish?
---

What Jack seems to have issue with here is people doing something themselves, in this case making poppies, and then saying they’ll give some of the proceeds to a charity, either the RBL or others.

The only reason I can think of to justify her annoyance, is that she didn’t think of it first. she has done this time and time again, so I assume she’s no longer irked at people who have done this.
I'm bookmarking all this tit because I can't possibly face playing it now, and like to tell myself I might be able to tolerate it at some future, unspecified point in time. Cheers.
---
It’s because she has no sense of self. I am a deeply unfashionable person sometimes, but I do have a few outfits my friends, who are my age, wouldn’t touch with a bargepole but they suit me because they are “me”.

She’s played more characters than Tom Cruise.
Honestly, I think Tom Cruise has a bigger range, and that is really not saying much at all

More rolls than Greg’s *other mass production bakeries are available

Poppy mithering (pronounced 'mithering ')
Poppies are not just for the Legion(RBL)
The Poppy Factory (PF) are a charity that employ wounded veterans. They also do loads of other stuff for veterans like training and subsidised housing. Absolutely anyone can buy poppies, wreaths and other things from the website. You can buy one poppy or a thousand, all proceeds go to PF.
RBL are a completely different charity. They buy all their Poppies from PF and then ask members of the public to make a donation in return for a poppy/wreath etc.
PF make all the wreaths for the senotaph, as well as all the other regimental wreaths laid down on 11th November across the globe by British regiments of all armed services. All have been bought from PF independently from RBL.
RBL (imo) are from the same school of charity as the Trussell Trust. Everyone loves them because they have a slick marketing team. The only good they do is because of front line volunteers, not because of funding. Most of money raised goes to 'admin costs' .
To put it into perspective, at the end of the film Gladiator, Russell Crowe is covered in red petals when he dies. These are paper Poppies made by PF. The money Ridley Scott paid for these Poppies made more for PF that year than everything they sold to RBL.

*sourced from a team building week my office spent at PF in Richmond. I would really recommend anyone local to check out a volunteer day with PF. It was really eye opening.

I have worked for RBL at 'the village' ☹️

Thing is right she often says she's not poor any more ( unless she's still as poor as she was) and then makes it very clear that the £20 weekly shops are not everything that her household buys

Eg

Those foreign snacks are ££££

So are gu and pringles tbh

Which is fine! I'm not gonna shame her for buying treats for herself & her kid.

What I'm gonna shame her for is pretending that £20 is all they spend

(Although the tricksy wording - "based on" - yeah guest we see it)

I have worked for RBL at 'the village' ☹
Our company had an invite to work 'in the village' for a day after we put out a request for our team to do a team building/volunteer thing. After we'd done a week at PF we had a VERY tainted view of other charities so our bosses declined the invite.
Just to reiterate, I have nothing but respect for those on the front line of charities because it mostly consists of kind hearted people volunteering their time and money. It is the organisation behind the charities that drive me insane with rage. RBL (imo) are no better than TT in their vague claims of helping those in need.
I hope @Captainmouse that came across in my post x
