Re the "stripper" story. There's a viral (and probably staged) post of a child's drawing showing a woman standing in front of what looks like a pole and men handing her money, accompanied by a message from the mother saying it wasn't what it looked like and was actually supposed to be a picture of her selling shovels after heavy snowfall. Was guest "inspired" by that?

Well this is a complete lie. So long as she took reasonable steps with security she'd have been fully covered for money stolen from her bank. They refund silly old bats who happily engage with scammers and do exactly as told transferring to the scammers account so she'd have definitely been covered for a scenario where someone has cloned her number to get activation codes for access to changing passwords. The only reason a bank wouldn't refund is if the attempted fraudster is the customer themselves putting in a blag claim and pretending transactions XYZ aren't them when they come from a previously used device with no evidence of pin/password change.

I bet the theif went by an alias...maybe Cotswold Company? I guarantee here Jack has spunked all her money, flapped it an lied to beg it back from the stupid. Maybe she was pretending to a partner that's what happened when they went oi where's that 5k you were gonna contribute to such a thing? Her MO is if I'm angry enough, I'm in the right. No one would use banks if they didn't cover you for fraud, we'd all be back to money under the mattress. Lying twit. I guarantee if it really happened she'd have gone 'hey @ Barclays Lloyd's etc how are your security processes so lax someone can take my money?' something to that effect. Something specific.
