I don't know, and I'm not sure I want to know.
It doesn't bear thinking about. I just hope she gave it a decent burial.

Along with those bloody eels

Ha I do this too. I know someone who works with a lot of celeb chefs and food influencers but sadly they are mostly quite professional. Thinking about the dates she did her job I suspect she may have come across Jack in the early days of the grift (2013ish) but I haven’t managed to bring it up yet. I need to buy her a load of cocktails to try and get her in a chatty mood.
You do Mr K, you really really do!

Sometimes when I properly think about it, it amazes me that so many people have been willing in the past to completely lie to her face and tell her her food is good time and time again. I wonder if anyone has ever told her that what she made isn’t nice? Why do the canal think everyone plays along? Is it because her nasty spiteful side really is that bad do you reckon? Leggy seems ok but a bit ruthless so I can see her overlooking the grift a bit and it doesn’t seem like Jack’s grift was too bad then, but LJC I just don’t get. She seems like a lovely woman and she just sat back and watched Jack telling the Twitterverse she can’t afford soap.

There’s a supplement called gaba that I take before bed to help me sleep. It could be worth a try? I also take magnesium.

I will look into that @griftalo thank you - it’s so annoying as a lot of sleep stuff I always need to check for interactions. Especially if I need to take my opiates - I might STOP BREATHING.

I used to take sominex - that actually worked for some reason where temazepam, zopiclone etc don’t do duck all. But you can’t get it now. I’ve tried the active ingredient on its own but that didn’t work for some reason - must have been the way sominex was made in conjunction with the active ingredient.

I’m on bed rest today so rewatching What We Do In The Shadows before I start the new series later. My poor ouchy crumbly body blah blah blah.

Also - on topic, Jack is an absolute bellend.

Have you tried Valerian teabags for sleep? I have a Valerian plant and it works for me.... when I remember to make a cuppa.

BIB - Having been in a friendship with someone very much like Jack, the reason is fear. These narcs are extreme bullies and if you undermine them or contradict them in any way, they can and will make your life very uncomfortable. Plus, Louisa was probably working her very demanding job for long hours so there is a good chance she wasn't really aware of the scope of it, I very much doubt she had time in those days to sit on the hellsite 24/7, reading Jack's endless screeds of bullshit. Jack also seems like the kind of partner who'd be interrupting Louisa at work every 10 minutes by calling with some "emergency". The poor woman was probably just too exhausted to be keeping up with Twitter.

Just mithering on this. This book got published in August 2018 when Jack was two full years past the tail end of adorably scampering around the national media claiming she was trans and had always hated her tits. She was over a year into her relationship with LJC so wasn’t even performatively “STONE DYKE butch”-ing it at the time.

Interesting choice of dressup for the book cover when this is what Jack (and Aunty Pat) actually looked and dressed like in 2018.

Aye, she pure fancies herself.

Keep it away from kitties though. My dear now deceased little feisty tabby girl used to fish my sleepy tea bags out of my cup, I initially thought she was just a weirdo but valerian is from the same plant family as catnip.

Thank you that’s a really interesting insight. I’ve had a very blessed and sheltered life having never met this particular brand of hole so I find insights like this really interesting.

Long may that last for you, lovely Triple S! I seem to be a magnet for these types. Possibly because I'm not very good with boundaries and tend to let things slide. Something I'm finally trying to work on at my big old age!

...or that pig head that she apparantly had in her fridge and scared the bloke in the queue behind her cos she was talking so loud on the phone about it...?
i can't bleeping abide people like this. There was a man sitting near me and Mr Laz on the train last night having a perfectly normal volume conversation with his companion. Then he turned it up to 11 so we could all hear his views, and how he was the authority on all things Israel/Palestine. What is it with folk who do this for attention!?

Yep tried that :( thank you though dear Here. I’ve always been an appalling sleeper but when manic nothing touches the sides unfortunately. But when it passes and I crash, that’s when I tend to catch up on the Zzzzs because then all I want to do is sleep.

I’ve always envied people ( like my Old Harold who hasn’t LEFT ) who can fall asleep anytime, any place. Although I’ve just played three rounds of chess with the boy before he goes off to his Dad’s for the weekend and the mental exertion has made me a bit snoozy so off for a danger nap I think. Not on a sofa like a Rubén’s painting though. Because that would frankly be quite ridiculous.

Bought some tea with it in recently and the minute the shopping bags came through the door the cats were in them for something. Turned out it was the individually wrapped tea bags still in the cellophane wrapped box. It makes them NUTS, mine have also gone for tea bags in cups before. It won’t hurt them in itself.

Yes their sense of smell is incredible isn’t it?

Have you tried Amytriptaline? Sorry if I’m giving unsolicited advice about something you’ve probably tried everything for, but I take 30mg a night for sleep and it seems to be the one medication that works (also a “zoom line doesn’t work for me” ninny). It takes a couple of hours to kick in but it enables me to have a great sleep and not feel too bad the next day.

You just know her breath smells like dead animal.
