Wait wait wait, is all this recycled from this era?

I have just been to the Turkish barbers around the corner. I can tell you I was shocked to the core. I didn't understand what was going on...

There was a woman having her haircut and the barber wasn't making any comment. He just got on with cutting her hair. No banter about being a woman in a barbers. Nothing.

When I had finished with my cut, I turned around and there was another woman waiting in the queue for hers to be done.

It's almost as if the barbers didn't care so long as the customer was paying. How dare they.
The one down the road from us is men/ boys only. Luckily there are loads of other barbers locally who are happy to cut any hair that needs barbering. Even when they didn't clock one of my daughters as a girl at first they still refused to do her hair (but were fine with doing my son's) once they knew she was female. We just went elsewhere. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Lads, she's alive!

(Sorry if this has been posted, I did a search but was right at the start of the thread and so excited!)

She's changed her tune on air fryers now she's being paid to use one...

Grunking, but hope they have provided her with their full range of domestic cleaning utensils as she is going to get taken to the cleaners on this!

This recipe isn't finished. There's at least one step missing.
1/8th tsp?!!!! Ffs. Along with her having some weird visual issue, especially in POrtRAiT mode, she clearly has zero taste buds. Who the af puts 1/8th tsp spice in?! Just LOL at her iggerance about how spices/taste/food etc etc etc work.

I know 😂 An 1/8th of tsp for 6 - 8 people?
I made myself a daal last night and had a third of a teaspoon of chilli flakes for one person. Perfect.
You just hope people won't go to the effort of cooking her muck and then be terribly disappointed at the end and blame themselves.

We can’t be sure she deleted the air fryers are specialist equipment tweet. If she did, she probably would have deleted the pressure cookers are deadly dangerous tweet at the same time, and she hasn’t deleted more than one tweet in one day over the last month of taking corporate dollar campaigning softy gently behind the scenes.

The air fryer tweet is still there.

I think the pressure cooker tweet was from 2020 so that will have been lost during one of the massive Twitter culls.

I was about to ask which of you air fryer owners were going to take one for the team and add these to the slopalong...

Not me. as I said on one of the slopalong threads, my mum is a baby boomer with an absolute horror of wasting food, and I was brought up with this attitude (although I think mine is better regulated than my mum's, there's no bottles of pectin with pre-decimal price labels in the back of my cupboards). The thought of deliberately setting out to make a recipe which I know won't work and will result in wasting time, money, ingredients and energy makes me feel all funny, and not in the good way.

No shade or criticism intended here on the brave Frauen und Männer who have done wonderful work forensically testing her recipes, but psychology is a funny old beastie and I know that it would upset me.

The ten minutes of slow cooking has absolutely ended me but quick q because I think I might be doing "making it up as I go along" wrong - has anyone ever used an eighth of a teaspoon of anything for something meant to feed 6+ people?

She writes like she's as scared of spice as my Irish/Liverpudlian nan.

(I was going to say not including baking but a) that actually still stands I think because b) that hate crime of a cake, which sounds delicious btw because when I'm looking for a new recipe I absolutely look for oil in the title and the fruit listed last said no one ever, has not seen the merest dusting of a raising ingredient. If you got caught with that you'd be done for going equipped)
