I don’t get why she hasn’t given a local business her support yet? It’s quite literally unfathomable!! The whole of lockdown, I don’t think she once gave shout outs or support to local businesses that were on their bleeping knees!! Now comes up to Edinburgh to go REPEATEDLY back and forth to sainsburys, which surely made an absolute killing during lockdown, and once a freebie trip to Dishoom. Not only is she a total bloody philistine, but she’s greedy and tight fisted. Why should citizens of anywhere, that any of us ever want to go for a break, really have to put up with people who don’t support the local economy?? If I knew someone who was skint and went on a self catering break and took all their own food or bought yellow stickered stuff, I’d think they had the right idea. I’d be happy to see someone who genuinely couldn’t afford it have a nice trip away and be lucky enough to find a like of yellow sticker food. But Jack is buying tit from Lakeland and sainsburys, clearly has enough money for eating out, but chooses not to support her ‘home’ and the people who live there! She makes my blood boil, she really does.
 
Late to this because me and bf have been caning the video call dates of late but I just read about an Omega Seamaster being sold so I looked them up and they are like... £4000?! What the duck?

I've always felt a bit weird speculating on her parent's income because you never know how people who foster spend their money, it may be on the kids, and firefighters don't exactly rake it in given the risks they take day in, day out but... no, they are RICH.

Wee Jackie needs to 'fess up that she's just waiting for the inheritance and duck off. I hope her parents live 'til they're 120 just to spite her.
 
The hot chocolate monstrosity is just another attempt at her throwing everything against the wall and hoping something sticks. Probably vaguely inspired by chai lattes and Mexican hot chocolate, but making substitutions and bunging in random extras like a maverick. I’m convinced that she thinks everyone does this and discovers amazing dishes by chance rather than thoughtfully developing recipes

shut up - I just found the post on the last thread as I missed it amongst talking about haunted Victorian experiences...

That's obscene?! Someone else wrote that she's definitely the type who was given driving lessons at 17 & their first property at 21, so the £4k watch probably felt devastating. I don't think she's ever recovered, hence the (rented)...

It’s crazy, isn’t it! And all the fish talk but none from an independent fishmonger. She’s like those Brits abroad who hit the supermarkets in Benidorm buying anything British. Too tight to splash out on some fish and chips, got to keep the pretence up.
