No apologies needed! Your thoughts are always appreciated.
She's certainly an odd case... however, I think it's possible to have ASD, which is indeed a very wide spectrum, and also do the things JM does.
Not all but many with ASD are able to lie, though we have more difficulty covering up our lie by maintaining consistency between our initial lie and subsequent statements. I was diagnosed when I was about 12 and as a child I was apparently a very good little fibber. I think it came from me developing a strong ability to act - something I did to try and fit in with social norms, desperate to mask that I was different. But I learnt not to lie as I got older because 1) I'd get punished 2) I learnt morality and 3) it just makes life more complicated!
Also, as most of us are very imaginative, many with ASD are brilliant story-tellers (but we're honest and say our stories are fiction!). JM uses her imagination to fabricate the stories which she tries to pass off as the truth.
Oh shut up Jack with your 'real deep sense of justice and injustice' 'because autistic'. I find much of your behaviour deeply unjust and I hate the way you pull the diagnosis out the bag when it suits you, either as an excuse for rude behaviour or to garner sympathy.
Thank you for your perspective here, I know very few neurodiverse people in real life and I think I am unintentionally quite focused on her very apparent dysregulation regarding the ADHD. THE IRONY
BTW quoting from a prev thread as I started this post many hours ago so just copied. I'm not magic frau!

Something that gives me a real boost and is a particular summer habit of mine is a rewatch of the Stop Making Sense performance. I want to be Tina so much haha
