JO is a bit of a fanny but he is the consummate professional and his recipes are good, that’s why he keeps getting the gigs. I particularly liked snipping fresh lasagne sheets to use in a one pan dish.
The “one dish” lamb was a bit of a cop out though because your oven would be minging after that. So no, I’ll not be sitting it on a rack thanks.
Along with the vast majority of the country (including Jacks diehard supporters) I am not yet completely bloke so I might give the filo fish pie a go too. Who knows.
Jack is going to have to address the questions around her fundraising. Silence is not an option when it comes to that. The lies she can possibly ignore but the money stuff, no. Someone, somewhere is going to go to the cops if she doesn’t.
Im starting to agree, this isn’t down to MH or addictions, she is just a bad ‘un.

She could show people how to make their own pasta which is so good all it needs is a little olive oil and seasoning or butter and seasoning. You don't need fancy equipment other than a rolling pin or heavy bottle, a table/counter, a sharp knife to cut it into thin strips and a pan of boiling water. It is flour and egg. That's all. Maybe a few fresh tomatoes, deskinned and lightly cooked, can be added? Or a single courgette, cut into strips, lightly fried with oil, salt, and pepper, then stirred into the pasta. Or just store-bought with courgette/tomatoes? No need to gild the lily. If it is good enough for Italians.....It does not have to be muddled bowls of eight-ingredient pasta.

The same flour/egg mix can be used as noodles too. Or spaetzle. Or make gnocchi with leftover mashed potato. All of these are filling, delicious and can be added to anything. Every cuisine in the world has recipes for people whose income or resources are minimal. Follow their lead. Make flour tortillas; they can be used as a carb and only need a frying pan or, if you are really stretched, a large flat-based saucepan. They are flour, lard (or Trex), salt and water, but you can add other seasonings too. Make Jamie's yoghurt flatbreads. tear them up and add to soups, salads, bean and veg stews. grill them and serve with delicious and less expensive things on top like a scrambled or fried egg, some wilted spinach and a dash of inexpensive hot sauce (a bottle lasts a long time). I really believe that simple is best if you are cash-pressed. And that way you don't end up with lots of blackening ingredients in the fridge, which Jack seems to have a lot of.
Please can you come to my house and cook for me? I would eat the tit out of everything you described but am too clueless to attempt it 🥺

"here is some nice food, including a way to cook a leg of lamb quite quickly," is irresponsible, is it?

FFS, get a grip, people. 🙄
Like someone said yesterday if her fanatics dont like em don't watch him, carry on and eat your rinsed hoop. Let the rest of the country with cooking skills and tastbuds eat decent food.

At least his show is good for morale going into this cost of living, imagine if every show from now to doomsday was just her bean rinsing. I dont think i could cope. People might not bw able to afford a leg of lamb everyday but what about next Easter or for a special occassion. Its cheaper than a meal out.

If she gets a show again, i think i might pawn our tv. Just sayin. Sorry kids

You’re safe. No one will give her one. A small number of squiggs call out for a programme but there is no real following.
Anything they filmed would undergo audience testing and fail.

What the duck would she cook, peach curry again. How long is this Jamie series 6 episodes or something. That will be 18 new and different recipes, which have enough complexity they take 10 minutes to show each. No chance.

These are the exact people who scream that Jack's allowed to have nice things, like diamond yachts. Bunions for brains

To this Antipodean, the greater mystery is why the UK use them at all. While I'm here, may anyone shed light on the habit?
I think it’s from the olden days when people couldn’t afford hot water, and also when sinks were deep. I shunned using one years ago and everyone thinks I’m nuts (UK types. Non-UK types approve then ask why we don’t wash the soap off the dishes properly under running water).
Thanks to the UK influence they were quite common in Cyprus too, where there always used to be water shortages in summer.
Jack should buy one and soak her hands/nails in it, get them nice and clean.

It’s not about watching JO though is it. It’s about pleasing Jack. They know she hates him and is desperate for a TV show and tbf they managed to get her one before. They won’t get her another one though. That ship has long since sailed.

I would genuinely love to watch Jack attempt a 6 part tv series. TV chefs usually have a book out at the same time and showcase their new recipes and ideas. Every time Jack is on, she's still cooking the same old slop from 10 years ago. How many times has she cooked the peach and chickpea curry. The fish pie took 7 years to develop so she should have enough new contact by 2034. By then we'll all be eating vacuumed packed food supplied by NASA.
Jack does have a book coming out. Although it's supposed to have been published bloody years ago. But she's done the final, final, final edits so should be good to go now. I reckon she should be given an accompanying TV series. Let's see what she can do.

Trifle Defender defending the sheep farmers today and marvelling at Jack's latest takes.*

*Communism one is an unrelated twit but IMHO is probably Jack's fault behind the scenes.

I think what’s very evident from Jack’s TV appearances is that she has no idea that a TV programme is supposed to be entertaining.
No one wants to come home from work and watch a chef rinse hoops or make salmonella pesto.

She’s such a fanny.
See also - her idea that food should be edible and appealing. None whatsoever!

I've been watching the DKL cos I missed it first time round and I have to say, I don't know how she got through them 🤣 she is so bad I can't even cringe anymore 🤣

I also watched JO last night and saw the twitter fallout. I'm not a fan of lamb, so guess what? I just won't make the lamb dish 🤷🏻‍♀️ thought it looked delish but it's not my cup of tea so I didn't feel the need to complain about it online 🙄

As for giving Jack her own show 🤣 the squigs are delusional! She would need to learn how to cook before given the chance for DKL disaster part Deux tbh

Grifting duck
