Oh FFS, this type of tit drives me mad. I was a kid in the 80s. We were always told 'wear what you want, play with what you want'. There wasn't half as much of this pink and princess shite for girls around. Boys weren't routinely clothed head to toe in fatigue. As childhood photos attest to, we were all in jeans or cords, stripy t-shirts, plain t-shirts, t-shirts with cartoon characters on them. Sometimes girls would be in denim or jersey skirts. It would have occurred to no one that if you liked climbing trees you were actually a boy whatever genitalia you had.

I mean, wow, a woman with a skateboard! And the skateboard had a shark on it!

Did this never happen?

She was a boy
She was (also) a girl
Can I make it anymore obvious?
She was a punk
She did ballet
What more can I say?

(Using ‘she’ as that’s her current preferred pronoun 😬 )

You're right, back when I was little girls and boys just mingled together. And the clothing was definitely as you describe. Possibly dresses for parties or something but otherwise it was leggings, cords and jeans for me.

Young girls dress so very differently now, so much more glammed up. I look at photos of when me and my friends were 13ish and there's a huge difference to teens now. Particularly with makeup. A fruity Chapstick and Collection 2000 mascara was about as glam as it got back in the day 😂

She "lived rough" despite her comfortably off parents living nearby. She applied for jobs and in 18 months got nothing. And people have rescued her from the railway tracks.
Just learned she applied to be an apprentice mechanic. "So are you an apprentice mechanic?" "No." "Thanks for applying, however, our advertisement confirms we're looking to hire an apprentice mechanic... that is, someone who has commenced an apprenticeship, to become a mechanic."

As I said on previous thread, my mate was a farmer, drove a tractor in a dress and sometimes wore makeup. I used kohl eye pencils and wore a brooch on my jacket lapel. My partners sister (hetro) road a motorbike in full on Suzie Quatro leathers and was a mechanic in a local garage.

Did the whole gender bender 70's vibe pass mainstream media by?....No they've just got new younger, wet behind the ears, believe any tit they are told for a story, no probing questions, social history deficient, reporters.

JM does nothing that hasn't been done before, and done better. (In my opinion, don't sue me)

I remember using Collection 2000 blue eye mascara and glittery hair mascara and thinking I was the next Britney Spears 😂Now they all have Insta Make Up Artist-level skills!

Not true. A B&B would have been available at the very least. And Social Services involvement would have ensured that there wasn't a child sleeping on the street.

I'm pretty confident this is pure shite.

I was homeless when my son was 18 months old. Ex turfed me out. While I sofa surfed (not fun and tbh one of the lowest points in my life), son stayed with ex, took me 6 months to get a council flat.

I don't believe for a moment she would have been on the streets with SB - unless it was by choice.

It really annoys me when people start bigging themselves up when they get famous and claiming that they are models and journalists, photographers

Anyone remember the I have 5 and a half GCSEs and I used to work in a chippy in her bio. Look how far I’ve come! I used to work in a chippy.

Be quiet you melt. You are as much of a poet and a photographer as I am.

You’re totally right. I was a kid in the 90s and it was very much primary colours when I was small, I’m getting flash backs off a sweatshirt and joggers combo in green, red and yellow 😬. Leggings and t-shirts like you said and the occasional party dress.
When we were older there were some questionable trends especially around the millennium, lots of metallics and shiny trousers. Of course the avril skater phase too.

But definitely as young children clothes were much less gendered, there wasn’t the choice, styles and shades of pink on offer like we have now. Funny how unisex clothing is seen as a new thing. I’ve never really thought about it before, wish I could go to my mums and dig out some photos.

I'm wondering (speculation) if she alluded to being homeless in an interview but didn't state it, magazine took that and ran with it, and then Jack didn't bother to correct?
I think she does this A LOT. She is purposely vague, uses language with very specific connotations but is careful to not make overt claims (lies) so people jump to conclusions, and then she can jump down their throats that she NEVER SAID THAT FFS if challenged. The upshot is that most people aren't that perceptive and cynical (unlike this evil cabal) and so go around believing and repeating what she insinuates. She's been doing this a long time and is VERY good at it.

I grew up in the eighties. Goths, punks and new romantics..

Men wearing make up were everywhere. Behold!

This. I'm very interested in the spread of people who use Tattle, you can tell from grammar, syntax, humour etc as well as message content that there's such a huge range of class, age, education and taste here. I think it's really fascinating how many people on the Jack thread a) have direct experience of the claims she makes and b) are very evidently either highly educated, very successful in their careers or just bleeping smart as hell. It's probably the highest concentration of critical thinkers I've come across in a non-academic setting. And man, does she HATE us for it.
