I thought you meant an actual meringue, you mean a dress don't you?Jack appears in a vast meringue with 12 bridesmaids.
I had a London-based colleague once who had taken a cookery course with one of the big name chef schools (can't remember the name now). I was amazed when they said although they were taught to make pastry as part the course they were every professional kitchen uses Jus Rol as pastry from scratch take up too much times and can be unreliable on the day.Sorry to go on but why would you even lie about making the pastry yourself? Even Nigel Slater says it's not worth the bother. And he's not meal planning for people who are time and money poor.
I'm calling it now, Jack's wedding dress will be brown and the reception will be a slopfest!
Are you really?
Be honest with yourself here.
Yes but I wouldn't put some sort of edible frock horror past her. We're dealing with a very dangerous individual.I thought you meant an actual meringue, you mean a dress don't you?
The house must be full of those really annoying tiny flies.Oh dear God, stop with the drying out of bits of peel all over the house.
LURVE the sticky toffee pudding. This is making me we bigging up CBBigham's bakewell is pretty nice, it's not super high and airy but has a decent amount of cherries. The sticky toffee pudding is probably their best dessert.
It feels insulting to the other nominees, and Sheila McKechnie's reputation.Really angry at that campaigner of the year nonsense
Why didn't she egg wash the pastry of the pie.
Ugh isn’t “grinds my gears” a Sali Hughes statement ?I missed the clubcard rant - https://tattle.life/threads/jack-monroe-287-blender-critical.29156/post-9342111
Such a bizarre thing to "despise with a passion". Loyalty cards have always given users a benefit in exchange for handing over data, nothing new there. People can make up their own choice if it's worth it. Set up a burner clubcard each time you go shopping if you're that enraged by the privacy.
In terms of the bad things done in the capitalist world it doesn't register, let alone in terms of all the things in the world to despise.
